What is the keystroke to get windows to boot from the CD?
You have to get to the BIOS to do that. Here is how to get to the BIOS and get your Computer to boot into the CD:
To enter the BIOS is very simple. As soon as you boot up your system rapidly hit the Del or Delete button on your keyboard, and if that doesn't work reboot your computer and this time hit rapidly the F2 Key (At the top) and if that doesn't work reboot again and rapidly hit the F10 Key.
After you get to the BIOS go to "BOOT" and make sure that the CD Drive is at the top, and to do that go down to the top option then hit enter then select the CD Drive.
Also make sure the boot order is like this:
1.CD Drive2.Floppy Drive3.Hard Disk Drive
Then go to the top and go to the right until you get to "EXIT" then go down until you get to Exit (Save Changes) or Save Changes and Exit.Reboot with the CD in the Drive and it should automaticly boot to the CD.
I hope this helped,PSPSlimBoy ☺ :)
What are the three steps that must be taken when a file is used by a program?
1. Open the file, Process the file, Close the file
Yes, that works (in Microsoft Word at least). For example, a chemical formula might be HCl (hydrogen H, plus chloride Cl), but Word will find the second capital letter suspicious (since that is a common typing error) and change it to Hcl, which in this particular case is wrong. Ctrl-Z will undo the auto-correction.

What should you do when a Windows Vista freezes and Ctrl Alt Delete doesn't work?
Ah. The worst situation possible. It doesn't happen as much on Mac's. Try those. But if you wanna stick to Windows here is the only sensible thing to do:
Manually Power it off by holding the Power Button.
If that doesn't work then you got a serious issue. Your files probably won't be saved but you can go to the back of your computer and disconnect the power cable.
The other sensible but painful thing to do is wait. Your computer is smarter that any human will be. Then again it has no will of it's own that's why we dominate. But it is still hard at work. Just try waiting. I'm not sure how long since computers vary on memory and speed. But if you have a lot of programs going on, I suggest you close the unnecessary ones. Or it might be the memory RAM your computer has. Check in on that. Or it might be because your running low on Memory in your main drive (which should be Drive C).
I assume you are using a Windows PC and not a Mac. if it is a Mac, i cannot help you.
Plus, if your computer revives, check for viruses.
Can the FBI recover deleted files?
A normal delete does not actually delete a file, it just marks the hard drive space as available for later use. All the data are still there, and there are software programs that can bring it back more or less intact.
Even after a real deletion, or after the disk is reformatted, traces of magnetism remain on the hard drive, and with special equipment it is possible to read those traces and reconstruct what was there before deletion. This is true even after the deleted content has been overwritten once or twice.
It is not only FBI that can read deleted files, there are commercial companies that offer similar services, for example to businesses that accidentally reformatted the hard drive containing all their customer data.
Some programs offer a "safe delete" option which overwrites deleted files 20-30 times with random noise, to make sure that the data are really gone. This is now the standard option for emptying the waste basket in Mac OS X, for instance.
The drawback of "safe delete" is that it is much slower, especially if you delete a lot of data. And of course it means that even the companies that specialize in retrieving deleted data cannot help you if you accidentally delete something you shouldn't.
