no no no...it means that you have overdrive on!!! all it does is make the gears shift a little later so you have more acceleration like when climbing a mountain

It means your overdrive gear is off on your tran. You have an automatic transmission, yes? When you drive at speeds higher than 45 MPH, your transmission will automatically shift to a higher gear to reduce engine RPM and increaase MPG. When overdrive is off, it will not do this. Performance will be improved (slightly), but economy will be reduced significantly. could be low trans fluid indicator. My guess is that you can also find a definitive explanation for this in your owners manual. There should be a notifications or warnings section in there.

If you mean drain holes for coolant... There is one located at bottom of the radiator. And two more on each side of the engine block.

Crank position sensor is located next to the crankshaft. In order to replace it you might have to remove the timing belt.

In the most models you just can remove remove the timing belt cover and replace the sensor.

It is located in the center console of the car. You have to take the carpet sides off of it. there will be 4 screws holding it in an upright position in between the metal uprights.

Ok the easiest way to do this it to find the clutch slave cylinder, look for a release bolt or something that looks like a grease fitting, have a friend fill the clutch slave resovior with brake fluid, and losten the release bolt tell them to pump 3 times and thenhold until you see fluid shoot out then close it, repeat the process, until there is no air in the lines.

The low side service port on your 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse can be found on top of the air conditioner compressor. The low side service port will be labeled as the low pressure port.

You'll need to get cables of the same size as you have now and simply replace them. I doubt you'll find anything that replaces easy though.

I would probably use a combination of slick 50 and my favorite oil. not sure that all racing sanctions will allow oil additives or not ,better check rule book at the event you are pertisipating in.

no the gsx is awd while the gst is front wheel drive the gsx is the turbo version of the eclipse while the gst is not hence better perfomance wit awd better launch acceleration etc...

except......

the GST is the turbo model as well, i own one, but its true that it is only FWD. the drivetrain swap will work because if u look underneath the vehicle you will see that the rear wheels do come ready to receive the axles for the awd supplement that comes in the GSX your real situation is locating and swapping the necessary parts.

Definitely not an easy task. You would have to remove the whole dash, the ECU/TCU is located in the center bottom of the dash. Once the dash is removed the wiring harness is under the rubber material, then you would have to feed it through the firewall and on the other side (engine bay) disconnect the harness from the various engine components.

It's an the driver's side. It's very hard to get to it because it's hidden behind the steering gear. You can access it too if you remove the plastic protection around the condenser.

You can remove the spark plugs in your 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse by turning the spark plugs to the left. You should use a 5/8 deep well socket. The spark plugs will come out.

Any car can be reliable if you take good care of it. Mitsubishi products tend to have less problems but can be expensive on regular maintenance or any repairs. If buying used, watch out where you buy it from. Dont buy it from some teenager who probably beat on it.... Overall great small sports car
