If your burning oil heavy at idle or when you take your foot off the gas pedal the valve guides are most likely the issue. To repair you would need to remove the heads and replace the valve guides. I should say though it is possible that the valve seals themselves have just worn; if this is the case they can be replaced without removing the heads. You'd need an air compressor and a valve spring compression tool. To do this you'll need to take much of the fron of the engine apart plus remove the cams. While your putting it back together go ahead and replace the timing belt and belt tensioner. I hope this may have helped

Well, assuming this is similar to the 2000 model, its pretty easy, but not immeditaely obvious. Basically you want to go under the front wheel welds and loosen the plastic cover that runs up under the wheel weld along the front edge of the black trim on the top of the wheel weld that fits over the outside. There are several black pastic pop-out pins which will allow you to loosen this plastic/rubber piece enought to get your hand up in the fender. Unplug the harness and simply twist the entire assembly to loosen, and pull out to change the bulb.

Don't know where the wiper motor is, but, the WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP is: UNDER HOOD, PASSENGER SIDE, FRONT ENGINE AREA, CORNER, MOUNTED ON FENDERWELL.
