1. To delete ALL items in the drop down list: Select Tools >> Internet Options. Then go to the "General" tab (if it's not already selected). For IE 6, go down to the history box and click the "Clear History" button. This will clear your search History as well as all items in the drop down list. In IE 7, under the "General" tab, "Browsing history",select "Delete">>"Delete History". Again, this will clear your search history as well as all items in the drop down list. 2. To delete Selected items in the drop down list, you must edit the registry. To do this: Click "Start >> Run"and type "regedit" (without the quotes).
On the left pane, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft >> Internet Explorer >> Typed URLS... Delete the typed URLs from the right pane you no longer want to appear in the drop down list. You can also renumber the items to organize the order in which the remaing items appear in the drop down list.
