The Roman Catholic church worship one God, The Father, The Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth, the creator of all things. It is a popular misconception that Roman Catholics worship Saints, when, in fact, whilst Saints are venerated, they are not worshipped.
Therefore, in answer to the question "What pagan entities do the catholic church worship?", the answer is simply-none
Dowsing is the art of "finding" by use of an instrument.
You can "find" water, lost objects, things in the ground (including graves, treasure, pipes, etc), answers, and information, just to name a few.
The instruments can be a willow forked branch, bent wire rods, a pendulum, or even your hands.
Dowsing is one of the oldest "mysteries" of man, and anyone who can "witch water" is considered a go friend to the farmers.
Since Paganism is an umbrella term for all those nature based sets of beliefs and practises, there is no single symbol. Perhaps you could specify which particular symbol you are interested in?
A Wiccan Coven is a group of Wiccans. They has to be living in the 3 mile radius around the Covenstead. They may gather in a place in the Covenstead in Sabbats and Esbats to celebrate the Cycles of Nature.
A Pagan (not necessarily Wiccan) Answer
Coven is a word used to describe a group of witches (practitioners of magic, members of a nature based spiritual path, or other).
Traditionally it was a secret group of thirteen members, all of whom lived close together, but did not necessarily know one another personally. "Craft names" were common, as there have been times in history when it was illegal and/or dangerous to be known as a witch.
Many, but not all, Covens are made up of equal numbers male & female (six of each) and one high Priestess/Priest.
The word Coven has become a handy term for any group, no matter the size or composition, of practitioners of the Craft.
Other terms used instead of Coven include, Hearth, Grove, or Circle.

In which ways does fear cause religious discrimination?
You have asked the right question with the answer within itself. Fear is the main reason for religious discrimination. Religion is something people believe and practice.
People have a natural fear towards what they don't know or don't understand. Many people have no idea about religions other than their own. Something we don't know about is occult/mysterious, and that is why people fear the occult, because they don't know or they don't understand it.
When someone has a fear of someone else's practice or belief, it makes an alienation, a separation that pulls them apart. When groups of people are afraid of smaller groups or individuals for what they believe or practice, they tend to push them away from the society, or to pull them in to their own system.
At this point, people have to learn to respect the diversity of faiths. If not they separate and this push/pull mechanism manifests as small and big problems that fall under discrimination.

The US has been very tolerant of religious expression in general, with some notable exceptions. The Mormons (LDS) took some heat for a while, but in part it was because some of their teachings and practices were at odds with civil law. In their early history they even engaged in some violence. This is no longer the case, and the Mormons are considered a mainstream religion, or very nearly so. I think it is not so much the differences of religious practice that is troublesome to people in the US. It is more how religions have been used and abused by wrongly motivated people. Very fortunately for us in the US and other nations where there are reasonable protected freedoms in place, we are able to monitor, be wary of and expose most religious fraud for what it is. Occasionally dangerous sects develop, but they end up not having lasting or wide-spread impact. Sometimes our wariness of some religions might reach the serious level of discrimination, and that is not acceptable. But it is important NOT to label all such wariness as discrimination. Frankly, it is reasonable to fear the serious mis-use of religious practices or systems of faith that threaten in some way to overturn the secular civil order that is in place for everyone's protection. If any religion of any kind, including the ones that have been traditionally strong here, ever supercedes civil law in the US, we will cease to be the US, and that will be a tragic day for us and for our friends and allies. It is far better to maintain and protect a system where an occasional madman can rise up and cause a temporary stir than to submit to a system where madmen of the same mind take control and forbid everything except their brand of madness. Fear, or perhaps more accurately extreme wariness and caution, is sometimes absolutely necessary to protect and advance the common good.
This is an excerpt from the Ostara Ritual of our Circle;
This is Ostara, the Vernal Equinox. In agrarian cultures, Ostara marked the return of Spring. The joyful time, the seed time, when life burst forth from the Earth and Winters hold on the land was broken. Oft times this was a ritual to bless the seeds and soil in hopes of a bountiful harvest.
Ostara was named for the Goddess of Spring and was a Sabbat of great importance in Greece, Rome and the Nordic and Germanic lands. It is from these traditions a large number of currently accepted customs come.
Many Ostara myths from these cultures concern trips by deities into the Underworld and their struggle to return from the Land of the Dead to earth. When they eventually do return to the World of the Living, they have a new life, both literally and figuratively and this idea of life renewed plays heavily in the symbolism of the Holiday.
This is also the Vernal or Spring Equinox. Light and Dark are equal; it is the time of Balance, when all the elements within us must be brought into harmony.

What is meant by the phrase 'May the circle be open but unbroken'?
Pagans, generally speaking do not have formal sacred spaces (churches, etc). We create our sacred space each and every time we "work". This is what we call the "Circle", at the end of each "working" we open the Circle, allowing the energies drawn and used within the Circle to return to the universe. Therefore the Circle is "open", the energies of the universe are always available and we carry the sacred space with-in us, so the Circle is unbroken.
What does the goat pan god mean?
is he the great god of nature....the sacred god of nature looking after his flock
can he be similar to that of the green man

Another Pagan PerspectiveJust for the record it is not "the goat pan god" it is the god Pan, he is represented as a faun, sometimes called a satyr. He is a fertility god and the god of the wild places and wild animals. Not to be taken lightly nor to be mistaken for the fluffy creature seen in modern cartoons as a silly little goat-boy.
Much as today's neo-pagans tend to lump Pan in with the green man, they are in fact different if similar deities.
Not a Pagan PerspectivePan is usually translated into "all". this would be reffering to the fact that all the Olympic gods reveled in his laughter when he was first brought to Olympus by his father Hermes.
Pan is the personification of nature. At least in my eyes he is.

Talk to that person. Honesty is the best balm for any relationship in any aspect of life. It may hurt, but in the end, the respect you gain and the understanding that comes of it is worth more.
Since this is catagorized in paganism, I'm going to assume the question implies want of a magical answer or spell. If so, let me answer by stating this first - If your car blows a tire on the side of the road in a snowstorm, do you:
A)change it or
B) pull out your spell kit and pray for it to change itself.
Don't take it the wrong way. I say this to give you a strong visual on what life is truly like for me as a proud witch. Spells are prayers to your gods. Bothering them with every little detail in your life and not doing anything to fix it on your own is most annoying. :o) Witchcraft isn't about doing spells all day.
If for some reason, talking is out of the question and you've exhausted all other means to try to clean up energies try meditation or reiki on yourself. Remember that you cannot change another person's opinion, you can only change youself. Breathe in and imagine pure white light infusing your body. As you breathe out, imagine the toxic hurts in you, the anger and shame and rage and let it go and flow out of you for the universe to absorb and get rid of. Do this until you feel calm.
I personally believe that they are. I see spells, prayers, wishes and etc. as the same. You set out a goal and you channel your energies into that goal and send it forth in to the universe for the powers that be to hear it and hopefully bring your spell/prayer/wish to fruition.

A wish is just that, a wish. For most people, wishing is just an act of optimism.
For those of us who believe in magic, we understand the very act of wishing can be the beginning of a magical act. There is, however, more needed to bring about the manifestation of that wish.
