It is now a popular competitive dance at powwows and other native american gatherings.

It features high falsetto vocables (non lexical sounds) sung with a basically monophonic texture, with a steady drum pulse accompaniment.

Dance competitions also feature highly elaborate costumes and complex movements.

Yes , but it's not exactly easy to understand . The simplest way to get an idea of the differences is that dance is to lyrics , and movement is to a beat . Most of the time dances tell stories , when movement pieces don't particularly show a beginning, middle, and end .'

There are thousands of good songs out there. I hardly doubt memory is a thing you have to work around. If that is the case, just add songs that you love. Simple as that. Also I dont belive age should define what kind of music you listen too..in my opinion ALL music is good music.

To feel like they are part of something, humans are social animals and prefer the feeling of belonging, social dancing is just a way to do that.

Its really hard for a girl to say no since we feel like we don't wanna hurt the boy's feelings. But if you say yes, but just taking pity of him and he finds out, that'll be more heart breaking. You have to say no in a calm way explaining how you feel and don't be too harsh.....like maybe

"I'm really sorry and i know i might hurt you, but I'm not really comfortable/ready yet." or something like that, but remember not to be too harsh.

I being human interpret it as a dance. In reality I suspect it is communication of a type, definitely expressing acceptance into their world as it merges with ours.
