Remove the airfilter by loosening the hose clips and taking out the filter first . Inside filter cannister are 3 nuts, the furthest is connected via a rubber grommet to chassis the others are free.. Mine was rusty and broke the rubber but does not matter. Undo this one and the hoses. remove filter cannister and down behind other hoses on top of the gear box is a BLACK CAP over the inlet hole . Just lifts off. To fill 2 1/2 litres of special expensive peugeot oil ( APD has cheapest) you will need a hose to connect to the oil container to feed slowly into the gearbox without spilling.

When you drained the oil before, remember to clean off all metal pieces from the magnetised drain plug, and replace tightly. Allen key not standard, ( I had to use mole grips )

N.B. Take this opportunity to oil all the linkages adjacent to the filler cap as they do tend to get stiff and freeze up at these points on cold winter nights, especially If there is any stiffness in gear changing. I could not find an answer to this problem on the net and just had to go for it myself. I do have photos, so if you want I can send them, male me at andyrae orange dotnet. I highly doubt it. The mounting area on the 2007's is different than the area on the 04's.

But go buy a set, and see if you can make them fit. If not, return them to the dealer.

There is a fault, get it to you nearest Peugeot dealership without delay...I mean like yesterday, the SRS (Airbag) could save your life, you need to confirm that it's working correctly, before it's too late...god forbid

Switch ignition OFF

Press and hold in button between speedo & water temp

Switch ignition ON (not start)

Keep button in for 10 seconds

Display will now read zero and "spanner" symbol gone

Relaese button & switch ignition OFF

well there is 1 possible solution that it could be the vehicles idle control valve i had the same problem being a mechanic i understood it

while idle on the drive way it was rising from about 3000 - 4500 obviosly not good for early morning starts at work :( i took the the 8mm bolt out gently removed idle control vave and cleaned it with a DRY rag rebiult it back up job done in no time :)

Do not install a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install a larger fuse would invite damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire. The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he/she's doing, to troubleshoot the circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse].

the fuel pump fuse is number 14 in the fuse box in the glove box rated at 15 amps

they mean something is not right with the vehicle check your owners manual for details

with the engine running and foot on the brake, move the gear selector slowly through all its positions 3 times before returning it to "park". then check the transmission dipstick as usual

The engine management light is systematically there to fore warn you if there is something going wrong!

I had a similar prob with mine on the 406 and had it checked out, computer anylized, the lot... nothing was found bar a possible dodgy censor behind the dial consol.

Not a very ethical answer here but i used give the dash a quick "thump" and the e.m light went out. Had there been anything wrong, I was told the e.m light wouldn't go out.

Buy new oil filter and correct grade of new oil, run engine to warm up old oil remove oil filler cap from top of engine then put bowl under sump plug on bottom of engine remove sump plug with special tool drain oil. when finished draining, put sump plug back in and tighten then loosen oil filter with special tool the filter is on a screw thread put bowl under filter to catch old oil then clean around the area with lint free cloth, before refitting new filter smear a small amount of new oil around sealing o ring then screw new filter back onto engine hand tight.
Refill engine with new oil up to level on dipstick replace oil cap run engine and check for any leaks - all done.

You will need to check all connections on the alternator

first. If there is no suspect.damages/loose connections

then its likely the console/display will need replacement

due to wear.
