Your shotgun was made in 1892. You can find a lot of information in a book called the "Blue Book of Gun values" As to the value, that can only be determined by inspection and grading.
Answer
This is hard to believe as 1892 is prior to the dates listed on the barrel! Blue Book of Gun Values usually won't have a picture.
The early Marlin Shotgun is the Model 1898 - first made in that year. The Brophy book - Marlin Firearms will have lots of pictures and great detail about this and really all Marlin firearms before 1985 or so.
What is it worth? Well - unless you have a fancy engraved one - not much. Marlin says not to shoot these guns and while I believe it to be a well designed and well made gun, the safety systems and materials are over 100 years old and have been know to fail. If it is unsafe - then it has more liability than value. Get it checked out my a competent gunsmith that is familiar with the model.

Does painfully missing somebody who is not a family member mean that you love them?
There are all kinds of love. You love your parents, siblings, some relatives, pets, etc. If you are particularly close to a person that visits your family, but is not a relative they have become part and parcel a great addition to your family. Yes, it's possible to love (like a sibling, etc.) and miss them very much. It's sort of like taking a couple of cogs out of a good wheel (doesn't run so smoothly.)
I can't honestly answer your question as you didn't say what your relationship was to this person. Perhaps you just went out with them to have fun and were more like good friends, yet possibly it could be love. You are the only one that can answer this question. I would give it a couple of months (keep in touch with this person by email, phone or letter) and go from there.
Good luck Marcy
