well you can change the entire rear hatch with that of a trans am's but I dont think it would be worth the the money to convert the car into a trans am style car.

You picked an extremely difficult one.......It would be best to get a Chilton's or Haynes for this. I will tell you that it requires pulling the passenger side fender and inner fender well to gain access to it. Some of the later models....such as your '79 have an impression in the fender well that you can cut and bend down to gain access. When done, you bend it back up and seal it.

The ac relay on a 93 Firebird is located under the hood. It is in the powerbox. The lid of the box should have a diagram showing exact placement of the relay.

the furthest forward facing cylinder is #1 ,,assuming your engine is probably sideways?it would be probably on the front of engine first cylinder,,or to explain it best almost every v engine has the cylinder banks offset #1 ussually being the furthest forward,,hope that helps

actually it's pretty simple just did it myself. turn on headlight. so they will be in upright position. Unscrew the screws on each side of lamp, disconnect plug on back of fixture, replace bulb making sure it's right side up. connect plug, and screw back in. I'm assuming your talking about bulb and not assembly to raise and lower it. that's a completely different story, but I have that answer also.

Disabling the VATS system is not the right answer. Bypassing the VATS system on a '89 Pontiac Trams Am requires grounding the crank/start wire on the VATS box (located behind the dash, behind the console) and purchasing a bypass module, which is used in order to allow the fuel injectors to operate. ***I AM NO MECHANIC*** As an owner of a '98 'Bird, it sounds like it's possibly time to replace the sparkplugs or at least sparkplug wires. That's just my initial hunch.

THE CHEAPEST THING TO TRY: On the other hand, maybe a little $2 bottle of fuel injection cleaner would do the trick. Pour it directly into your gas tank once you have a full tank.

I'm not quite sure what your question is here. The distributor is back near the firewall. Usually the rotor is facing to the rear and slightly towards the driver side when the engine is ready to fire on the number 1 cylinder. However, it really doesn't matter where it points if it has been removed and you are reinstalling it. Make sure the engine is on the number 1 compression stroke. From there, you can drop the distributor in. Find out where the rotor is pointing with the distributor cap on. That's your #1 position. From there, you simply install your plug wires 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 in a counter clockwise rotation. If you get this done and it still won't fire, or it pops and sputters when trying to start it, play with your timing a little. If it still won't start you may be 180 degrees out. Simply swap the plug wires at the distributor cap directly across from their present location.
