honestly just feed him hard dog food with a little milk or caned food, but he must get used to hard dog food!or he will not like the food when hes older and I no this isn't part of the answer but just put a tea spoon of olive oil to slicken his coat and make him soft. Trust me on both i have 2 pugs Cleo and Nero.

That is not something to worry about. It is perfectly normal. Many pugs get it from eating too much. This could be something to worry about later when the pug gets older, but not now. :P Jess!!

no the only reason their eyes fall out is because since they are bracosaphalic (have a pushed in face) they need to be walked using a harness rather a color and if it is wearing a collar and it gets pulled to hard they can fall out.

It is because they haven't "dropped" yet. The testicles are still up inside it's body. They could be that way up to 4 to 5 weeks, but they usually "drop" around 2 to 3 weeks. If the dog is older than this, it is probably time to take it to the vet.

so the pug is unlikely to have had any classical latin name other than just plain canis

in medieval latin canis sinensis would mean a Chinese dog
