A go kart is basicaly a mini race car for kids except it doesn't go as fast, and when racing, you don't do 200-250 laps.

Actually, a kart isn't just for kids. There are many adults who do the sport. There are also races called endurance races that do 100-250 laps.

There are many different types of karts and engines. Engines= Komet Piston Port, fastest engine for teens, Yamaha, mid horsepower for any age, Shifter, fastest kart engine, TaG (Touch and Go) second fastest kart engine, Cadet, an okay speed for kids, and Kid Karts, the slowest which is for 5-8 year old kids.

There are countless types of kart brands so I wont name them.

I would like an answer to this as well. I've estimated based on scooters using a 150cc 4 stroke engine as the baseline for comparison. An average scooter will get about 80 mpg. The weight of their frame tends to be about half or less of that of a go-kart (265 lb. vs 550 lb.). Presuming that 2 times the weight equals half the efficiency; then I'm guess-timating a go-kart is at 30 to 40 mpg.

With this engine the scooter can go about 65 mph. The go-kart can go about 45 mph. As I understand it a smaller engine would be slower, but fuel efficiency would increase. It would be good to find a light weight but resilient frame for the body as well.

Anyone else have some ideas or information on this?

Well... It all depends on your gearing ratio and your final drive settings. But i usually hits about 50 to 100mph and sometimes even more!

I think that motorcycle death rates would be much higher than skydiving death rates. There are roughly 30 deaths for the year of 2008 in skydiving, according to most of the skydiving websites on the internet. Motorcycle fatalities are sure to be higher due to the fact that more people ride motorcycles than skydive. The sport of skydiving involves extensive schooling and training whereas most people who ride motorcycles learn pretty much from relatives and friends how to ride a motorcycle. Most skydiving fatalities are usually attributed by the skydivers error it is unfortunate but usually true. Motorcycle fatalities are somtimes attributed by the drivers error but many fatalities are attributed by other drivers such as those who drive cars. It is much more dangerous to drive a motorcycle because you stand a greater chance of being killed by others drivers but in skydiving the only one who basically kill you is yourself. I have done both skydived and driven on motorcycles and although both are dangerous sports I can honestly say that in skydiving I can make sure that I will safely because it is my ultimate duty to make sure all safety precautions have been taken, this is not so regarding driving my motorcycle. Why? I can make sure all safety precautions are taken when I am riding my mortorcycle but I am literally at the mercy of the other drivers around me.

Back in the 2005 and 2006 Formula One seasons, Fernando Alonso thoroughly trounced Michael Schumacher for the title. Since then, however, Alonso hasn't beaten many of Schumacher's records, but the two-time champion can now rest easy - in a big, solid gold chair - knowing that he's finally making more than Schumi.

Although finances in F1, as we've reported before, are secrets as closely guarded as technical breakthroughs, reports now indicate that Alonso's deal to return to Renault has made him the most highly-paid driver in or out of F1. If the reports are to be believed, Alonso will make $46 million this season. That's only from his contract with Renault and does not include assuredly lucrative sponsorship deals, and only stands if Alonso stays for a second year. The amount is a symbolic $1 million more than what arch-rival Kimi Raikkonen reportedly makes at Ferrari and more than double what his former team-mate Lewis Hamilton pulled in last year driving for McLaren. In fact, Hamilton reportedly resigned with McLaren for $138 million over the next five years, which breaks down to $27.6 million per year or $1.53 million per race in 2008. Alonso will be earning $2.55 million per race this year, and if renewed for next year will beat even the lucrative $86 million two-year offer Schumacher got to stay at Ferrari through 2008.

NASCAR's track attendance and revenue may be stalling, but top drivers' paychecks continued to climb last year, thanks to large, multiyear sponsorship deals and heavy spending on apparel and gear by loyal fans. Overall, earnings for the top 10 drivers were $180 million, up 4.7% from our previous list.
