Remove a radio from a 1996 Lincoln mark VIII?
YOU'LL NEED TO BUY A RADIO REMOVAL TOO. THAT'S JUST A SKINNY U-SHAPED ROD YOU INSERT INTO THE TWO HOLES ON EACH SIDE OF THE RADIO. IT COST BETWEEN 3 AND 5 DOLLARS AT ANY PARTS STORE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL THE RADIO RIGHT OUT. IF IT DOESN'T COME LOOSE RIGHT AWAY YOU'LL HAVE TO USE SOME MORE FORCE. THERE'S THIS PLASTIC PART ON THE BACK THE HOLDS THE RADIO IN PLACE AND IT SLIDES ALONG ON A TRACK OVER THE RADIO. SO THAT MIGHT SIT A LITTLE TIGHT. I HAD TO PULL MINE OUT QUIET HARD AND WIGGLE IT A LITTLE TOO. AND WHEN YOU PUT IN A NEW RADIO YOU'LL HAVE TO ATTACH THE PLASTIC PIECE TO THE NEW RADIO WHICH IS NO BIG DEAL. GOOD LUCK THOMAS
make your own tool out of a coat hanger bend 2 in u shape so they fit in eack side of radio holes push in till you feel a bit of resistance and pull with both u shape tools wiggle back and forth the clips will release letting radio come out 1 inch then pull with hands until you can disconnect wiring harness and antennea

What was the first us radio station named?
Actually we may never know. There where some attempts to broadcast entertainment as early as 1910. Previously to that Marconi had installed radios on several ships, but they where of the Morse type, meant to have only one receiver.
The general public had to construct their own radios, since búying them was very expensive (could cost up to 3 weeks of wages). Fortuneatly building a simple crystal-radio could be done for schollboys wages. 2 or three components where nedded plus the obligatory 800 ohms (or so) headphones. The most important components was a catwhisker of coiled wire and a piece of Galena crystal that could be easily found in a slag-heap of any lead mine. No batteries where required since the power came from the signal itself, therefore the 800 or so ohms headphones.

What are the disadvantages of online radio?
Key examples of online radio classifications are: terrestrial radio podcasts (e.g. under BBC.co.UK), unscheduled/collaborative stations (e.g. under Last.FM) and scheduled personal stations (e.g. Live365.com).
Compared with terrestrial radio broadcasts, at like-for-like audio quality, the common disadvantage with all these formats is that they require a more sophisticated infrastructure and more expencive receiving equipment (e.g. internet bandwidth exceeding 500kbps and computer equpment costing over $600). Thus, these formats a only generaly available to affluent residents of urban areas and/or ''developed countries''.

In MRI, a patient lies in a large cylinder that is equipped with a powerful magnet, a radio wave emitter, and a radio wave detector. Particles in the bones and soft tissues behave like tiny magnets and can be lined up. When the MRI machine causes the orientation of the particles to flip, they produce radio waves. The released energy is detected by the radio receiver and used to create a map of the different tissues.

How do you remove the faceplate off of a 1999 escort zx2 factory radio?
First off, disconnect negative battery cable. Then push your hand inside the shifter boot, and pull the panel that the shifter is in out. The whole front panel is in two parts, and the lower part will pull out. Go slowly here, firm pressure should get it out for you. Once you have the panel out, look at the lower part of the top panel (the one with the radio and ac vents). You should see two screws at the bottom, remove those. Now start pulling the entire upper panel out of the dash. The whole upper panel will come forward, disconnect the wiring for the climate control and you should then have enough room to get the radio out. Word of advice on disconnect of radio-make certain you have anti theft code or radio will not work if reconnected.
