Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
In a saucepan, cook the granulated sugar over medium heat until it turns into a golden caramel. Be careful not to burn it.
Quickly pour the caramel into a 9-inch round baking dish and swirl it to cover the entire bottom.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Pour the mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with an inch of hot water. This will create a water bath that helps the flan cook evenly and prevents it from cracking.
Bake the flan for about 50-60 minutes, or until set in the center.
Remove the flan from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, place the dish in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours.
