First drain it by releasing bottom hose,then remove top hose.

Removing the offside intercooler hose is awkward but makes the job a lot easier later due to lack of space.

Remove front grill (torx screws, 2 on top,2 inside grill under headlights & release side clips)

Slide out both clips from lower radiator lugs (from underneath car).may be better done before you drain it.

Remove both headlights (height adjusting motors are a bayonet type push and twist fitting )

Remove temp sensor wires,unclip and move aside fan wiring, one tiny torx screw fastens a wiring harness to the nearside of the radiator,remove this.

Remove the top slam panel (4 bolts) (if you leave the cable attached put ample rags aronud each end to prevent scratching and support it out of your way)

The complete radiator, intercooler and fan assembly can then be lifted out as one and split later, but be warned the original Renault rad is heavy and is best done with 2 people to aviod damage.

I changed mine this March and it cost me £138 delivered from autokool-ltd via eBay (can I say that on here) As I recall that was how I did mine, nothing to difficult apart from getting to the inner font grill screws.

The handle is there to release the electric parking brake if it fails to release and sticks on. Lift the flap in the floor panel and pull the handle upwards, this should release the parking brake.

You can then Drive the vehicle but note NO HANDBRAKE to park leave in gear with foot brake on before turning off the ignition. Otherwise you will have a runaway!!!

Oh estimated cost to reset it all £500.00 or spondooolics!!!!!!

On my 98 RXE diesel its under the carpet on the passenger (left ) floorwell. Lift the plastic plate and you'll see it bottom left. It is coloured white on my car. All the other relays down there are blue!

You can remove the outside trim by using a blow dryer or a heat gun to soften the adhesive underneath. Then you slowly work you way down. Then use laquer thinner or something like it to remove residue that is left. Hope this helps.

Depends on the model. Very difficult on a Mk 1 and Mk 2 as the clutch is cable operated and, therefore, no hydraulics. The only reservoirs are for brake fluid and power steering fluid. I suspect that it is the same for the Mk 3. If it is a later model then it may be hydraulic but I haven't investigated those yet.

On the 2002, mine is under the ashtray. Simply lift up and out the whole ashtray and there it is

What you need to do is press the internal central locking switch on the roof panel (in front of the rear view mirror) for about 10 seconds until you hear 2 very distinct clunks in the doors. Then point the key upwards towards the sensor and press the key button twice......Your central locking should now be reset. This worked for me

Being a Renault its naturally awkward but it is possible without removing the battery, find someone with small hands to do it, practise on the offside light first then it will be easier.

Passanger door remove the handle cover this will expose the lock.Now use the key on key card to open doors

Hi,U need to find a heater connection that supplys water to heater,it is found on the top of engine,between the heater control unit & engine,its a large tube like a radiator hose,on top of the that is a bleed screw,its actually in the hose,u may have to feel around for it,but thats the bleed point,just unscrew it a bit & water should trickle out,but b careful its very small,so take care,ALB Keithy

You can find the fuse box diagram on the inside cover of the fuse box. You can also obtain a fuse box diagram from most auto-parts stores.

The recommended interval is 115,000 kilometres about 72,000 miles. On my original 1986 Espace it said that the life of the cambelt was the same as the engine. The first one lasted just over 130,000 miles and only failed because of oil contamination. Subsequently the recommendation was changed to 72,624 miles (a somewhat over-zealous conversion I suspect). The engine went on to cover 336,000 miles and was running superbly when I finally got rid of the car after 16 years.

On the edge of the door there'll be a thick bunch of wires with a plug on the end. Unplug from the door, peel back the rubber cover and chances are you'll find that one of the wires has broken. I had this with the drivers door, one wire was broken so I soldered and covered it with insulation tape and the door locked again. It appears that sometimes simply opening and closing the door can cause problems.

Yes I have a set of Laguna alloys on my 97 2.2dt. Only thing to remember is that the tyres will probably need changed as mpv,s require a stronger outer wall.

Above the glove box, the little cubbiehole, open it and remove felt base and u will see the fuses.

This is a right bugger of a job. You need to have the trim off and for that you need the door open. And to open the door you need to have the trim off. I got a replacement door trim at a breakers before starting the job. I then cut away the old trim very carefully with shears and eventually got into the mechanism. A tiny clip had come undone. I repaired it by binding with fine copper wire and then fitted the replacement trim. That was three years ago.

Put keycard in. Locate button just right of clock display.Hold in 3 secs and hour flashes.Push button repeatedly until desired hour. Take finger off button and minutes will flash. Push repeatedly until time correct. Release and leave button. All stop flashing.. Clock set.Remove keycard.

It is called 'snow mode'. If you select the button, the auto gearbox selects 2nd gear to save wheelspin on snow/ice from a standing start. It does the same thing as starting off in 2nd gear in a manual gearbox. Hope this clarifies it.

the fusebox is found on the passenger side floor,under the mat,you need a screwdriver to gain access in my 1996 (uk N plate), it's in the top of the glovebox.. To add to the answer above, there are five different sets of fuses on the Mk 2 Espace. Mine is also on an N plate. There is the main fuse board which is clipped in the top of the glove compartment. This has a circuit board carrying a number of fuses and relays. Exactly what is installed will vary with the model and the equipment installed. There is also another bank of fuses and relays above and to the left of the glove compartment accessable over the top side of the glove box. Very difficult to get to without stripping the glove compatment out. There are three sets of fuses under the bonnet. One set under the engine managment computer on the off-side of the engine bay. This carries the fuse for the horns and the air compresor if air horns are fitted. On the nearside there are two fuses boxes one at the top which carries a number of fused relays and a bank of mini blade fuses and three maxi blade fuses ( A 50 Amp and two 30 Amp) The main cooling fans for the radiator are protected by these fuses. The smaller bank carries two fuses for two of the heater fan settings. The final fuse box is lower down on the side wall of the engine bay below the holder for the Jack and hidden behind the air cleaner. Another job to get to that one as the air cleaner has to be removed to open it.

You can't reset the parking light - It shows you have a fault at that time - Cure the fault and the light will go out - I have a problem with mine - I have an intermittent fault the light only comes on when the parking brake is faulty - most of the time the lights out
