What are the torque specs for a 94 sc2 valve cover gasket?
89inch pounds is the torque rating for the valve cover bolts
Where is the O2 sensor on a Saturn SL2?
There are two O2 sensors. One on the exhaust manifold right in front when you open the hood. The other is under the car after the Cat
1999 Saturn sc2 fuse box diagram?
It should be stamped in the inside cover. There is one in the engine compartment and one on the center panel on the left side of the passenger seat area.
How do you remove and install a ignition key from a Saturn?
Push the key into the ignition. To remove, push in, then turn towards you to remove the key. I do not know how to remove and replace the whole ignition assembly in case that was your real question.
How do you replace the belt tensioner on a 92 Saturn sl1?
Jack up the car and remove the tire from the passenger side of the car. Remove the plastic inner splash guards to expose the tensioner. Put a wrench on the nut that holds the pulley on and push it clockwise to remove tension on the serpentine belt. While doing this, pull the serpentine belt off to remove pressure on the tensioner. Once you have completed this task, you will need a 10mm socket; I suggest using an black impact socket; I broke 3 regular sockets and then finally bought a set of good sockets at Sears $30. for a set of 10. Remove the 2 nuts, replace the tensioner and then replace the belt the same way you removed it. The hardest part is removing the 2 nuts on the tensioner; they are extremely tight. Good luck. If you need more details, ask and I will update this message.

Damian

How do you start a Saturn after you run it out of gas?
To start a Saturn after running out of gas, a little ether sprayed in the carburetor might help. Another way to start a vehicle after running out of gas is to pump the gas until it gets enough to start.
What are the torque specs for a 1997 Saturn sl2 head bolts?
okay this is a long but correct answer. In sequence 22 ft-lbs. In sequence 37 ft-lbs DOHC models and 33 ft-lbs on SOHC models. Finally, in sequence, tighten all bolts an additional 90 degrees, or a 1/4 turn. Here is the sequence, the number to the left are the timing chain side.
8-4-1-5-9
7-3-2-6-10 (DOHC MODELS)
8-4-1-5-9
7-3-2-6-10 (SOHC MODELS)
That seems a little high.
Check for a sticking throttle valve in the throttle body. Often a piece of debris in the cable will keep the engine from idling at the right speed. Also check for anything that might be causing problems on the INSIDE of the vehicle; something loose around the gas pedal.
After you've checked out those potential problems, and if it still idles high, check for a vacuum leak. Trust your ears. Often a vacuum leak will make a sucking sound that seems abnormal for the engine. Start with anything that has been worked on recently; if the brakes have been repaired, check the brake vacuum line. Often a can of starting fluid (used judiciously) can help locate a vacuum leak. Spray a small amount of fluid at a suspected vacuum leak; if the engine RPM changes, you have a clue as to where the leak may be.
Good luck.
A wavy line usually indicates some kind of fluid; an arrow pointing down usually indicates that something is low. Try to examine the indicator a little closer to see if you can get any more clues, but if not, check the engine coolant and brake fluid.
Why do a 2001 Saturn s series have two speed senors in the transmission?
The sensor located closest to the firewall is the vehicle speed sensor, This sensor tells the ECM how fast the car is moving, that information is than relayed to the speedometer in your instrument cluster. The speed sensor on the front of the transmission is a Turbine Speed sensor. The ECM watches the relation of the Turbine speed sensor to the shifting perimeters to make sure the transmission isn't slipping.
When to change timing belts in Saturn sl2?
The SL2 series used a 4 cylinder, dual overhead cam engine with a timing CHAIN that did not need replacing until the head was removed.
You DO, however, need to properly maintain the serpentine belt, which drives the alternator, power steering, AC, and water pump. Don't let THAT belt break, since the engine will overheat quickly and can damage the head gasket.
But... you don't need to worry about the timing belt, since there isn't one. The timing chain is INTERNAL, and is constantly lubricated, making it last much longer than a timing belt.
Where is the fuse box on an 2001 Saturn sl2?
I'm not to knowledgeable about that car but, most fuse box's are located under the hood in a plastic box near the driver or passenger side wall. Some cars even have fuses in unusual places, such as under the car seat; Back and front, under the steering wheel column. But, your best bet is under the hood.
2000 sl surging and idling high?
I have the same problem. I believe the idle air control valve either needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Where is the inertia switch on a 1999 Saturn SL located?
This question is kind of vague. I'm assuming your asking about either the switch for the seat belts, or for the air bags? the seatbelts opperate by the spring housing, which is part of the assembly located between your front and rear doors on both sides. the air bag inertia switch is located in your center console under your window switches.
Does the 2000 Saturn L series have the same size speakers as a 2000 Saturn LS2?
I am not completely sure.. BUT, what you might be able to do is look it up in one of the audio shops, such as Crutchfield who often have a speaker fitting program right online. Just input the year, make and model and it tells you which speakers to use as replacement, as well as OEM ones and compare them to each other, inputting both vehicles into the program should provide you with your answer. =] Hope it helps. Have a GREAT DAY and GOD BLESS the USA and our soldiers protecting Her!! =])

Can you replace bleeder valve on hydraulic clutch?
Answer is yes. A bleeder valve is simply a tiny bolt with fluid passages built-in, and if you unscrew it far enough it will come right out. Usually this bleeder valve is located on the slave cylinder, on the transmission itself. Depending on the type of vehicle though, the valve length, thread, and head size are different.
