This engine does use a rubber timing belt and needs to be replaced every 100k. If the belt fails, you will suffer severe engine damage. When you turn the steering wheel all the way till it stops and hold it there the pump is still trying to push fluid into the steering piston but it wont go any farther, and this puts a tremendous load on the pump which can cause belt squeal, its like pushing a car with the brake on a lot of effort for no result. So try this, when you have turned the wheel as far as it can go back off a little bit and see if it continues.

If you just want to replace the transmitter battery on it it does not need to be program it does need to be resequenced.
1 replace the transmitter battery
2 close all doors on the car
3 stand outside of car , on the driver side , and hold at the same time the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons, you should hear the locks cycling close to open position.
After that your transmitter is resynched, if it does not work you may need a new transmitter.
If you do it does need to be programmed at the dealership and you will need the car there along with any other transmitters you have for the car.

ok you have a few screws to take out. take a flathead screw driver and carefully pop off the cover where your tweeter is at, you will have a Phillips head screw where you took it off. then where you have your door latch at there will be 1 more there. after that where your armrest is on the door it should have a plastic cover on it look at the top of it and it should have a little tab in it press it in with your flathead and it should pop on off, then at bottom inside of your door you will have your last one take it out. Grab your door panel and pull straight up on it not out but up the inside of the panel will have tabs on there so be CAREFULL not to break them while taking it off and putting it back on or else you'll end up like me and be missing one. lol.

My Vue uses the smaller blade fuses, I believe that are called mini-bus fuses. There is a larger version used in a lot of Ford products that will not fit in your Vue. If you look in your fuse blocks you should find a few spares provided from the manufacturer. Good Luck.
How do you change transmission fluid on a Saturn Vue with manual transmission?
on the drivers side bottom of the transmission there is a drain plug, remove the fill cap (RED With a gear symbol) before, than the drain plug (M8) Drain till empty than replace lower drain plug. To fill, there is a third plug, you must remove the drivers side tire, than through the wheel well remove the plug on the drivers side of the transmission, fill through the top of the tranny (red cap with gear) until the fluid (Dextron Mercon III) comes out the side drain hole. When the fluid comes out the side, the transmission is full. Replace side plug, than filler cap. Wipe down surface of excess/ spilled fluid than put cardboard under tranny and start motor. Let run in nutral. Check card board for fluid leaks.

im not sure but i do know you can put an ion quad coupe trans mission in it ,just swap the front bellhousings and it will bolt right up with no mount modifications
More than likely it is low on refrigerant and the compressor is kicking off on the low pressure switch. After it is off for a few seconds the low pressure switch resets and starts up again, runs a few seconds and off again. Continuous cycle of off and on.

On a 3.5L V6 the automatic transaxle fluid dipstick is on the driver's side of center between the engine and radiator. It is a black ring (not yellow as indicated in the owner's manual) that is recessed about four inches below the valve cover. Very hard to see.
