Hm. that seems hard to do, you can bring it to a car glass repair shop to try and fit a new one in there, but your best bet is to just by yourself a whole new mirror.

If the engine has ever been overheated it could have caused the head to warp resulting in a blown head gasket. Oil in the coolant is one indication of a blown head gasket so you might want to take care of that before driving anywhere else.

They can mean a number of things, such as an engine issue or part failure. A mechanic has a computer that can interpret and diagnose the reason for the light coming on.

The alternator is located right below the Belt Tensioner (of course you ill need to know where that is as well). However, its on the passenger side, at the most rear, and most lower point of the engine. I had to jack up the car, take off y wheel, and you can see it just past the wheel. It's very tricky to maneuver it out once you get the two bolts out to remove it. Have fun!!!!!

You put the ignition to on without starting the car, then you have 5 seconds to pump the gas pedal 3 times. It then goes away once you start the car. I have a 2008 Vue XR and I just had to do it. Good luck.

Disconnect the battery negative. Put chocks on the back wheels to prevent them from rolling, and set your parking brake, as well. Unless you're as thin as an Olympic ice skater, you'll probably need to jack up the front. Do that, and either use jack stands, or let the front tires rest on some wood blocks.

The starter will be located in front of the flywheel housing. Usually, it's on the right (passenger side on a left hand drive vehicle) side of the flywheel housing. Remove the mounting bolts.. they usually are oriented upwards. Pull the starter out once this is done. On the back of the starter, there will be two or three wires connected. You'll need an appropriately sized ratchet or wrench to take off the nuts so you can remove these wires (although not familiar with the Vue, Saturn used a number of GM components, so I'm assuming a 13mm socket or wrench is what you'll need). Be sure to take note of which wire goes where on the starter. You might need to use a slotted screwdriver to get the blade terminals off the studs. Installation is the opposite of removal.

The 2004 Saturn Vue 2.2L Engine Uses a Timing CHAIN.

It is Much better than a belt, and for 2004, Saturn fixed the issue with poor oil pressure on the timing chain and they last much longer than their predecessors.

17 mm, for sure on the 3.5 L V-6 engine (made by Honda), that's the one I have.

You will need a Phillips screw driver, preferably a stubby one, a 9/32 hex socket with a 6 inch extension(a magnetic inset will help), and a 1/4 hex socket to do the job. You will also need a replacement bulb which costs about $8 at the dealer.
Before starting, lower the steering wheel column to its lowest position. The control for this is a lever on the lower left side of the steering column.
Remove the two Phillips screws holding the instrument cluster trim in place. They are in the two little holes on the underside of the curved piece of trim around the cluster. Pull it out and over the steering wheel trim.
Now remove the four 9/32 hex screws at each corner of the instrument cluster being careful not to drop them (thus the usefulness of a magnetic inset for your socket). Pull the instrument cluster toward you and then wiggle it out from behind the steering wheel trim. This took me a minute or two to figure out, but it didn't need to be forced.
Once the cluster is out, flip the cluster over and find the 1/4 white hex end of the bulb. There was a piece of black foam around the bulb in my Vue; the foam doesn't need to be disturbed. Turn the bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it.
Put the new bulb in by turning it 1/4 turn clockwise. Wiggle the cluster back in place and push it snugly in place. Now turn the ignition key until the cluster lights up; the odometer should once again be brightly lit. If not, the new bulb is bad or not seated correctly, or ... you did something very wrong. Mine lit up as expected.
Replace the four 9/32 hex bolts that hold the cluster in place being careful not to drop them (magnetic inset again). Don't over tighten them as they will break the plastic. Replace the cluster trim piece and secure with the two Phillips screws.
You are finished! It took me about a half hour, but that included time to figure out what size sockets I needed and find my magnetic inserts. It should take any inept (like me) person about fifteen minutes if you have all your tools at hand. The dealer wanted $50+ to do the job; do it yourself and give the money to your favorite charity.

Acording to our dealship the problem could be with your computer and compomnent that uses a bearing to sense an impact...The cost to replace is about a $1000.00... ok yeah this can probley be fixed alot cheaper by taking it to a ASEcertified mechanic shop. it could also be a short in a wire making it think it has gone off.

go to your nearest best buy or walmart and ask a service helper if they have a 12 volt car aux. attachment with an on/off switch.

For the 3.0 v6, it's in the front of the engine just below the oil filter. For the 4 cyl, it's near the starter.

Shift to 1, set brake, turn ignition off. Use a plastic shim to pry the black shifter housing up off the console. Once loose, move it toward the back of the car. Find the screws that hold in the ashtray or change compartment. Remove those 4 screws and pull this part out. Now find the two screws that hold in the base of the center console fascia housing the heater a/c controls and covering the radio. Remove the screws. Pull the base of the console toward the back of the car. It will pull out of its tabs without too much effort. The climate controls and hazard lights are connected by wires to the console. The radio is mounted in the dash behind the console.

The cost of the shocks is going to be anywhere from $55 to $85 each. If a professional is doing the replacement, there will also be a labor charge from them for their time and knowledge. If doing the replacement oneself, please refer to a manual on the proper way to replace the shocks to prevent unintentional damage to the vehicle.

Red light means 3 gallons or less. You should be able to go at least 45-60 miles. I'm being conservative here. I'm also assuming the car is operating normally.

The Saturn VUE uses a Opel designed and manufactured GM V6 engine. This V6 engine is also used in the Cadillac Catera, Saab, and Saturn L vehicles. This engine does use a rubber timing belt and needs to be replaced every 100k. If the belt fails, you will suffer severe engine damage.
