What is an independent variable in HCl and Mg?
HCl and Mg are two chemicals. There is no variable involved - independent or otherwise!
Science fair projects comparing two or more things with one variable?
One year for my science project, I compared Mr. Clean Magic Eraser vs. Walmart Great Value Magic Erasers. It was interesting, and it helped people!
How do you work out the speed of an object?
If you need to include the effects of air resistance, then the answer is more complicated
than you want to deal with.
If you're satisfied to ignore air resistance, then the weight doesn't make any difference. We've known
for the past 600 years that without air resistance, all objects fall the same. Where have you been ?
An object that falls from a height of 'H' hits the ground at a speed of sqrt(2GH).
If 'H' is in meters, then the speed is sqrt(19.6H) meters per second.
If 'H' is in feet, then the speed is sqrt(64.4H) feet per second.
What two categories are used to classify particulate matter?
The experiment shows exactly what your title says!
What are the essential condition the for geostationay satellite?
Because of the inverse square law of gravity, an object close to the Earth's surface feels a greater pull than an object further away. This would mean an artificial satelite in an orbit near Earth would have to travel faster to remain in orbit. One further away would travel slower. Close to the earth, a satelite might complete an orbit in, for example, 90 minutes; but the earth rotates once on its axis in 24 hours. This would mean the satelite would always have to travel faster than the Earth spins. Too far away, and the satelite would take longer than a day to orbit the Earth - so the planet would spin faster than the satelite's orbit. For a geostationary satelite, it would need to be at just the right distance, in an orbit that keeps it at the same place as seen from the rotating Earth - orbiting as fast as the Earth is spinning.
Geostationary satelites get parked a little over 22,200 miles above the Earth's surface and in orbits the same direction as the Earth spins - and are thus useful for communication and weather functions.
Can mean to dominate. To test or verify by scientific experiment. To eliminate or prevent the spread of something.
If the net force applied to a body is unchanging the body will?
Accelerate at a constant rate (although if the net force is zero, this constant acceleration would be zero, so it wouldn't really be proper to say its accelerating in that case).
What takes 10 to 30 years to break down if it exposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun?
non combustible waste
How do you convert liters of oxygen into percent?
You don't seem to quite understand the concept of percentages. Percent of what?
What is a general explanation of a set of observations or facts?
A general explanation of a set of observations or facts is a statement or hypothesis that seeks to account for the patterns or relationships present in the data. It aims to provide a framework or understanding that can help make sense of the information, identify trends, or predict future outcomes.
Who did Robert Hook famously have an argument with?
Robert Hooke famously had an argument with Isaac Newton over Newton's theory of gravitation. Hooke claimed that Newton's ideas were similar to his own, leading to a dispute between the two scientists.
How to convert 1500 ppb to milligram per Liter?
ppm means mg/L, remember that. so ppb would be micrograms per litre (basically multiplied by 1000). So 1500ppb is 1.5ppm or mg/L
Keep in mind the b means per billion and the m means million. It comes from assuming a density of 1g/ml, that a gram is equal to ml.
Therefore, g/l is parts per thousand, mg/l is per million, ug/l is per billion
Why does a variable change in a experiment?
The experimenter changes the independent variable.
The dependent variable changes as a result.
Control Variable is the answer
What type of paper when made into a paper boat floats longest?
I would use wax paper because of all the different kinds of paper, its the least absorbant.
What are the method of separating mixture?
4 methods of separating mixtures are distillation, centrifuge, evaporation, and magnets. Distillation is a process of separating mixtures based the boiling points of the substances in it. Centrifuge is a machine that separates the components of the mixture by their densities. Evaporation is usually used to separate a solute from a solvent. And finally, magnets can be used to separate iron from sand. :)
There are many methods of separating mixtures depending on the substance that needs separating. Homogenius and Heterogenius mixtures along with some colloids. Now the different methods are Decantation, Centrifugation, Filtration, Evaporation, Distillation and chromatography.
Decantation: The process of pooring one substance from the other leaving a precipitate behind. This method works well with colloids and some heterogenius mixtures.
Centrifugation: Spins mixtures at extremely high speeds to separate different substances according to their densitys. this method works well with Colloids and some heterogenius mixtures.
Filtration: This process involves passing a solid-liquid(liquid with particles) or a solid-gas(a great example would be smoke) through a filter. The solids remain on filter. This method works well with Heterogenius and some homogenius mixtures.
Evaporation: This is mostly used to collect a solid that has been evaporated within a solution. The solute evaporates leaving the solvent behind. This methoid works well with homogenius solutions.
Distillation : Based on different boiling points of the substances in the solution, when heated they will boil off and condense at different temperatures. Works well with Homogenius and some colloids.
Chromatography: Seperates a mixture into its various components usin porous paper and a solvent. The different components within the solution travel different distances on the porous paper due to their different densities along with their different molecular structures.Works well with homogenius(gas or liquid solutions) and some colloids.
Hope this helps :)
Filtering.
Distillation.
Osmosis.
Electrophoresis.
A mixture of grain and plant material used to be separated by winnowing - tossing it in the air on a windy day; and allowing gravity to control the heavy parts and the wind the buoyant parts. This method is also used in arid areas to separate gold dust from the rest, known there as 'gold blowing'.
An immiscible mixture such as gulf oil and sea water can be separated by using appropriate absorbent cloths.
A mixture of different sizes would be separated using a sieve, and this is an important method in geological preparation.
If the substances have different solubilities, then differential solution (Using different solutes) is a most impressive method, with wide application.

The ten ways of separating mixtures are:
1) Decantation
2) Evaporation
3) Funnel Separation
4) Filtration

Why is no color emitted from the solid before it is placed into the flame?
Its electrons have not been excited to higher energy levels until after the solid is placed in the flame. The heat causes electrons to be excited and when they fall back down to their ground state, they emit light at a specific wavelength, giving off a specific color of visible light.
What is the variable you can change to see how it affects another variable?
The independent variable. If it changes the other variable, then the other variable depends on it and consequently is the "dependent variable".
