You can try but you won't have a life ,because everything you do you will have to think ahead ,is tirening,unatural and senseless because no matter what you do will be wrong in his eyes...is frustating is like seeing an apple climbing to a tree instaead of falling from it.....i spent 2 months with one malignante narcissist and i was devasted,sickand tired,thank God i had my own home to go back to...

Usually, getting your hair done boosts your self esteem, but not always.

Self-respect is earned through ordeal and respect is bestowed upon through recognition.

The former is a prerequisite to get the latter. When the order is reversed, annihilating attitude develops on confrontation with someone more deserving and there is hollowness within - even amidst plenty one feels naked.

The policy of Oranges and Clothing is doing in the reverse order which is possible in a country where immigrants become scapegoats. But, in a country where there is no reliance on immigrants they go the hard way - first earning through ordeal and then getting recognised.

That provided respect is easily robbed when there is no security around and the person feels naked as there is no undergarment of self-respect.

Yes people with low esteem will make fun of themselves to hide their insecurity. I do it because sometimes I feel stupid or unsure of myself and I feel like others can I see it , I'll try to laugh it off or joke a about it. I don't give them the chance to laugh at me, I'll be the butt of my own jokes. The above poster is correct, but there is another reason as well .... No, not all the time. I will, on occasion make fun of myself over a problem to help me through the problem and also use this method to get a giggle out my husband or a friend to try and put a smile on their face. I am certainly not insecure in the least.

Boys, like anyone else, want respect, communication, trust, and support from their partners. It's important to listen to each other, show appreciation, and create a strong emotional connection to sustain a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

Well, I suppose it's a nice way to look at life, but its so unrealistic and doesn't prepare you for those times when things really aren't in your favour. It could also make you appear rather self centered and conceited to others and might impact some of ;your relationships negatively. Having a good feeling about yourself is always good, but you also need to be able to identify your weaknesses so you can work on them , right!

I do not think that it is wrong to have a strong belief with things that are in your favor, providing that they have been come by honestly. There are many people in the world who seek favor dishonestly and get great joy in doing so. In doing so they loose their self respect and the respect of others.

If the odds are in your favor in getting a fair days wage for a fair days work, in getting satisfaction in helping your fellow man with no desire for reward except their happiness, great, further blessings will come to you in unexpected ways.

Finally, do not seek for favors, earn them honestly.

It depends on how you are referring to the term womanizer. I disagree partially with the other two answers and here is why:

The two types of Womanizers are (1). Men who naturally (that is the key word) have an appeal to woman because of their natural intelligence, style, charm, charisma, and good looks. These men do not in anyway have to pursue women, as many women are attracted to the Womanizer naturally. Many so called womanizers do stay loyal in relationships and because of their unique qualities, find monogamous relationships attractive and preferable. The drawback to this type of "Womanizer" is that he is many times categorized with the second and most common class of "Womanizers". (2). This is a class of men who normally have very low self-esteem , oversized egos, and little respect for women. The difference in identifying this type of womanizer is by the reason he is referred to as such. For instance, a woman may see a man who does not have style, yet he pursues women like a pig. These types of womanizers though are generally referred to by other names such as Perverts, Pigs, Male Chauvinist

A womanizer could be on either side of the spectrum. Either he has a low self esteem and must harrass women to feel good about himself or he has a big ego. Some of them are getting back at an ex by manipulating women. Serial womanizers tend to have extremely high egos and live for the game of pursuing women.

It means that you have the potential to be capable of processing significant amounts of information faster and more accurately that 95% of the people that you will come in contact with in your lifetime.

Please notice the word potential. Having a high IQ does not mean that you are guaranteed success. Many people with high IQ's struggle with life because they process things differently than most people and therefor have trouble relating to those around them.

One of the best examples I have heard regarding this type of situation was from a professor of mine at Colorado State. She stated that someone with a high IQ must work twice as hard as a person with an "average" IQ. Why? Those with higher IQ's grasp concepts that normal people can't comprehend. Therefor, we ust work twice as hard to find a way to explain what we have grasped in a way others can understand. Throw a learning difference like ADD/HD in the mix and you have someone that not only can process information at a ridiculous rate, but can't explain how he/she got to the conclusion.

Another problem with having a high IQ at a young age is that curriculum is often designed to target those closer to the mean IQ range of 100. High IQ individuals are able to "skate" by with minimal effort which does them no good in life after school. A high IQ without a proper education is like a modern supercomputer running Microsoft Windows 3.1. Massive computational power, small knowledge database.
