Do you need a title for an ATV in NJ?
In order to register an ATV in New Jersey you will need a certificate of origin. Also for tax purposes a notarized bill of sale from the person you bought it from if you got it second hand.. Beware of ATV's without titles or ones that have info under lien holder on the back of the Certificate or Origin. You can get a tittle for an ATV without papers but it is a long process and costs aprox.. $200 - $250 . There are conditions in which you cant get the title and that's if the ATV comes back with a lien on it .. then forget it.. If the original buyer stiffed the bank then you cant get a lien release letter and then you cant register it or get a title.. That's why ATV's without papers are much cheaper. you are rolling the dice.. good luck

What upgrades are there to make a RC engine go faster?
Electric powered, there isn't much, but if you have a gas powered one, there are a lot of things including better fuel, a lighter body or a whole new engine. Here are more opinions and answers from other FAQ Farmers: * Use the upper limit of the ignition plug as the engine spec can use. Adjust the carburetor to it's leanest setting without stalling the car or breaking the connecting rod. Best way to do this is with an infra-red heat reader. Take note of engine temperature after every run,and adjust the carbs to lean side one increment at a time. Of course you have to consider the outside air temperature and humidity. Remember in racing the saying is, "To finish first, first you must finish." good luck.. == Many years ago, I met a man who worked on gas engines by re-boring the cylinders just like you do with a hot rod car. I don't know what is involved with this or there is anyone that does this for a fee. Something you could check into. ANSWER you actually can add a nitous oxcide system to nitro engines now.

The most common reason for a carburetor not to receive fuel is a plugged fuel line. The fuel filter can also be plugged.
Ferris are one of the best mowers around. They are on the pricer side but they are better than most on the market. Due to their price and qualiy they are normally used more comercially rather than home use. Excellent product and the 33.5 Cat diesel is their most powerfull commercial mower.
If you put a little fuel right in the spark plug hole, and replace plug, will it fire? Let me know on my board and I will try to help more, if I can.
Does gasoline expire or go bad if left in the shed for a long period of time?
Yes, gasoline starts to get "old" after you bring it home from the station. After about 30 days (depending on octane level, your sea level, ambient temp & other variables), it starts to get stale.
Lawn mowers or other small engines in a chain-store type warehouse, that have been in an extended storage situation, have needed carb work to get them running. Most of the time however, car, truck, acreage tractor engines with four cylinders or more, will run on old gas. Usually just starting hard.
A good rule of thumb is to not buy more than 30 days worth of gas to use for your small engines. The exception would be in the dead of winter for your snow-blower equipment, don't want to be stranded you know.
Any brand of fuel stabilizer is good to use, after 20 years of engine work, they all do about the same, no real standouts.

To measure the 1/4' piston drop down, I do the following:
After the spark plug has been removed, I insert a #2 wooden pencil eraser end first into the spark plug opening.
I rotate the piston to find TDC and mark the pencil using lip of the plug opening.
I then place another reference mark 1/4" away from the first mark, toward the point end.
With the pencil placed in the spark plug opening at TDC, I rotate the piston clockwise until the second, point end reference point matches the lip of the plug opening.

What are steps to align clutch after motor swap on skidoo snowmobile?
you need to get a clutch alignment tool for the specific brand and set up you are using, it is usually a tool that drops over your primary clutch and slide just past the inner edge of the secondary clutch. (sort of looks like a flat "Z" shape hard to explain) Most manufactures want there engines to be twisted towards the front left shock (sitting on the machine) so that when the engine accelerates the clutches line up and the belt is straight. You will also need to measure the center to center distance as in the center of the primary clutch to the secondary clutch the is a spec for this for each manufacture. If your not exploding drive belts all the time the clutches are probably aligned in an acceptable way. If you are going through a lot of belts you should check the condition of your clutch for wear and if both are in good condition then do the alignment procedures.
