Is chicken soup bad when you have fever?

Drink lots of cold fluids such as water and Gatorade. Lots and lots of Gatorade. That should flush your system out. Also, many people say drink orange juice because it has vitamin c, but the acidity in it actually causes you to become nauseous and give you a false perception that you have to throw up. Tea will help also.

Cold cereal is BAD to eat when you have a fever, the dairy inside of it will turn rotten inside your stomach causing you to puke. Ice cream, is bad if it has dairy, and Popsicles help also because it will help lower your body's temperature (as long as it doesn't have DAIRY!!!). Take a Tylenol and as your feeling better eat foods such as toast, chicken noodle soup and any low calorie foods.

Answer 2: Never eat any dairy products when you have a fever. I have a fever right now, I vomited because I ate dairy. So, do not eat anything with any dairy in. Also, avoid acidic foods or drinks such as orange juice or lemon juice, as these will make your stomach acids way too acidic, and cause vomiting. The foods I have been eating are plain slices of bread, 7 up (lemonade) and I would suggest eating chicken noodle soup. Also, Lemonade does contain lemon juice, but not enough to cause acidity. Don't take any cold baths or showers as the cold from the bath/shower trap all the heat in, so the outside of your body is cold, and the inside is hot. It is OK to take the occasional warm bath or shower, but I wouldn't have them too much. Also, when drinking lemonade, try to take short and slow sips. I don't know about eggs but I would stay away from them as the smell can make you nauseous sometimes. Try not to eat too much while you have fever because you have to let your body cope with the virus you have, and eating uses energy for your digestive system to work which makes your body concentrate more on digesting than fighting the virus. When you have fever it is your body trying to fight off a virus, so your body increases the temperature as your white bloods cells work better in hot temperatures. I hope this helped, and get well soon! P.S - Do not have any dairy products.

Dairy products are ok. It depends on what is causing your fever. Some people find milk and ice cream sooth their stomach. They don't cause acidity, on the contrary, they tend to calm it down. Again, this depends on the individual. Cool showers are recommended because they bring the temperature down. Cool showers and ice packs will help a lot with keeping comfortable.

Find out what is causing your fever. Mild, easy to digest foods, toast, milk (for some, not for everyone), gingerale are usually good. Broth and noodle soups are excellent.

Is a mushy tan chicken liver safe to eat?

Probably.

I'm assuming that the liver is fresh and was properly handled, kept cold, etc.

Livers vary in colour and texture so some will be deep red and others tan and softer. A lighter liver colour tends to mean there is more fat in the liver, which is why fois gras is quite pale. It can be affected by what the chicken is eating.

Is it safe to cook marinated checken after 7 days?

How long can tea sit at room temperature?

Fresh-brewed tea can sit at room temperature for up to eight hours if unsweetened. The flavor will begin to "sour" in sweetened tea after about six hours. The "sour" taste which develops is bacteria growth and thus tea that sits too long at room temperature should be avoided. A common practice of restaurants to save money is to refrigerate left-over tea at the end of the day and reuse it the next day. This practice is contrary to health code. If you order tea at a restyaurant and it tastes "sour," it is either old tea or tea stored in a container that has not been properly sanitized.

How long do pork chops not frozen last in the fridge?

maximum storage is until your fridge broke...

maximum storage for cocking is a week. because the tender and juicy of a meat goes along with the ice once you defrost and cook your porks meat, plus the fresheness of the meat is no longer present..

How long is ham good if refrigerated?

If it is kept at an acceptable temperature, I would say it is good until it begins to smell bad. It could vary depending on how long it may have set on the shelf in the store prior to being sold.

Should leftovers be frozen?

Yes it can! I make alot at Thanksgiving and freeze the rest for Christmas dinner and it turns out perfect every time. Just thaw in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30-45 minutes (in a 13 x 9 pan) and add chicken broth to make it moist. Mix well and warm in the oven for another 15 minutes or so. It's alot less hassle doing it this way.

Is it safe to eat sliced ham that has gone soft and mushy?

This is a difficult question to answer, sliced ham should not be soft and mushy, so it is perhaps better not to eat it.

However if the ham has been cooked properly and stored in a cool place since being cooked (and if it is from a shop, is still within is use by date) it should be OK to eat. It may be that it had too much water in it when it was packed.

On balance however if food does not look OK, is out of date, has not been stored at the correct temperature and certainly if it smells bad - it is safer not to eat it.

How long will uncooked roast last in refrigerator before being cooked?

It should be cooked on or before the third day. Count the day it was bought as day one, the next day as day two, and the day after that as day three.

Beef is pretty good, in that it tells you when it's spoiled. Check the smell. It should smell clean and fresh. If you're not sure, though, throw it out.

You can cook the roast and then freeze it with minimal loss of taste if you wrap it in an air tight package. I wrap mine first in plastic wrap, and put it in a baggie (be sure to squeeze out all the air). Then wrap it again in foil.
