They say not at all, but really it's as much as any other antidepressants, which is, if you think it's working, you're going to be afraid to stop taking it. Plus there is mild withdrawal associated with antidepressants that will make you feel worse, reinforcing that fear and making you want to take it again.
What will happen with 100mg of Strattera?
Answer: Strattera is not at all harmful at 100mg. Basically if you can handle or avoid the side effects the result of taking 100 mg would be increased alertness, and better attention span. It really helps you concentrate. However, Strattera has a black box warning about the potential of suicidal thoughts in children. So keep this in mind, and I would not recommend taking Strattera at all if you have any form of depression, anxiety, or any form of bipolar or psychosis. And you should stop taking Strattera immediately if you start to have thoughts of suicide or sudden changes in behavior such as agitation or irratibility. Ultimately you should talk to your doctor to determine if 100mg is necessary for your individual treatment. hope this helps***
Can Strattera be used as a recreational drug such as aderol?
Strattera does not effect the dopamine levels in the brain such as that of a stimulant medication like Adderall.
I would not recommend taking either recreationally. But the answer is no. Taking Strattera will most definetly not give you the same high as taking Adderall would. It would make you more alert and focused however. But it certainly wouldn't give you a buzz or anything like that.
I really hope that you would find other ways to occupy your time than taking stimulants such as Adderall. Adderall is very addictive and has a high rate of dependence, I know because I was prescribed this stuff for 8 years and just stopped taking it, and the withdrawal symptoms are very severe (psychosis, paranoia, panic/anxiety attacks, extreme exhaustion and hunger, and migraines)
Now I can't tell you what to do or not do with your life but out of all the drugs you could do for a cheap high amphetamines are one of the dumbest to use. They are a Schedule ll drug on the Controlled Substance Act which make them one of the highest potential for abuse, and addictiton. The only difference from Schedule 1 and 2 is that Schedule 2 lists drugs that are actually used for medical purposes. Although I strongly disagree with the use of amphetamines as a treatment for ADHD.
I hope this helps :/ ******
Is taking two 25mg dosage of Strattera in the morning considered a high dosage?
I started on 40mg for a week then took two pills after five days putting me up to 80 mg a day. Yikes, I am thinking now I am on a high does compared to your 25mg. I think Im going to stop it. Week two of this med and I feel irritable and angry. Negative and depressed. I also have insomnia. The only good thing about this med is that my appetitie has decreased a lot, but in the long run not worth the side effects that are bad. :(
This depends heavily on who you get your insurance from, most insurance companies will cover it to an extent.
However, Strattera is a newer drug and not yet available as a generic so you should expect to have to pay a large copay.
How long do it for 40 mg of percocet to come out of your system?
Let me teach you how to calculate this value. Every drug has a value called a half-life. There are many different kinds of half-lives, but when we talk about half-life in general like this (removing the drug from the body), we are talking about "elimination" half-life. This is the value you see in data sheets on places like Wiki. The half-life means "The time taken for Half the drug to be eliminated". Anyway, the half-life of Oxycodone (Percocet) is 3 - 4.5 hours. Now a lot of factors can increase this value (eg. if you suffer from renal failure, liver issues etc.) But assuming the worst, and let's say you have taken 40mg of Oxycodone. This means: 4.5 hours later - 20mg remaining 9 hrs later - 10mg remaining 13.5 hrs later - 5mg 18 hrs - 2.5mg 22.5 hrs - 1.25mg So all in all, to be on the safe side, keep this value at 36 hours but allow a buffer of upto 48 hours to be on the safe side since there are other factors to consider like your dosage and body-weight. Hope this helps.
What dose of Strattera is equivalent to Adderall 30mg?

Can Straterra cause your gums to recede?
Strattera, like other "mood altering medications", effects the production and reuptake or norepinephrine in the brain. Other drugs effect this chemical as well (dilantin, which is for seizures, and antipsychotics like depikote). These drugs are all known to cause periodontal side effects. In other words, your gums may recede, change color, become inflamed, etc. Any doctor prescribing these drugs should be able to explain it's side effects. Your dentist, or more likely a periodontist, should know what drugs effect oral health.

If you suddenly fart loudly in a formal class lecture what should you do?
If everyone came to know that it was you just admit jovially ,saying " Oh , Sorry, I had a really bad diet today..! Okie .. lets continue.."
If no one knew who the culprit was, just leave the matter and say sorry to yourself and try not doing it again.
answer-3i will look weardly to the one how beside me and every body in the room will look at him and you will be out of the picture ........hhhhhh just joking ....or try to make the same voice with you'r foot or 'say oh sorry' .......or don't do a thing and people will say ''oh do you remember that guy he's the one who fart in the class" and I'm shur you don't want that to happenAnswer - 4
Whatever you do, don't laugh. That will just push more farts out in a really loud, rapid fire manner. Then, all of your classmates will begin to move away from you. Everyone will know that it was you. If your teacher is old, then he/she may be hard of hearing and ask the class "what is going on here"? Afterwards, everyone will have to tell them what happened. They will have to describe to the lecturer that you first let out a fart that sounded like a tugboat horn, then turned into a machine gun noise or trumpet sound. All of the people in class that you find attractive will know that you farted. It best to be proactive, instead of retroactive about class farts.
Try this: drop a book at the same time that you fart. Timing is critical! Dont drop the book first with a loud bang, and then fart. Also, you may want to find someone in class that can be an alibi. For instance, if you fart, then you and your fart alibi will simultaneously look at a third person - the scapegoat - in disgust. It will only make it more convincing if the scapegoat freaks out and says that its not them. Immediately look pissed off, and continue taking notes. However, if the lecturer asks what is going on, simply tell them that the scapegoat's fart "sounded like a tugboat horn, then turned into a machine gun noise or trumpet sound". Hope that this helped out. a lot of people would laugh at u and make fun of u and then u don't want to go to school trust me i know how it fells
Can you take St John's wort to reduce overfocused ADD while taking Strattera?
Never take any herbal remedies without consulting your physician. Herbal medications can affect the prescribed medications you are on. Also, the danger is high if you should have an emergency and end up in ER. It is confusing to doctors if you have not told them about ANY herbal medications you are on.
There is no indication that ST. John's Wort helps even with depression. Until there are more conclusive reports on this I suggest it is best to stay away from this and work with your doctor.
Is a persistent cough a side effect of Straterra?
My 6 yr. old complains of a cough every morning. Didn't think it had anything to do with strattera because he has allergies, but I'm not sure now. I have had a bit of a cough since taking this med. I believe I read in the drug literature that persistant cough can be a side effect.
A: The "normal" effects on children when referring to Adderall should in fact be calming, and focusing. Your child shouldn't be an emotional wreck when taking Adderall. You need to talk to your doctor about the sudden abnormal side effects the Adderall is causing, because sometimes it causes suicidal thoughts and worsens unknown psychological illnesses. They will probably switch your child to a non-stimulant medication such as Strattera. And another thing perhaps the reason that the Adderall is acting adversely could be that he is also autistic. Because in that case the Adderall would definetly worsen the autism.
Can you work out taking Strattera?
You can, however afterwards you feel really down and depressed if you do not have ADHD and work out while taking it. I have taken it and not been prescribed and i had gym class, had these symptoms
Definately. When I was first put on Strattera, I noticed a huge difference in my energy level. I was fatigued and felt like I had no energy to do tough tasks. Don't worry though, after about a month, I quit experiencing this fatigue and was back to normal. I have been taking Strattera for 6 months now and for some time now have had no side effects from Strattera.
How many hours apart should you take your medications and vitamins?
Unless your taking a lot, and i mean A LOT, of pills you don't have to take them apart. They don't interfere with each others working at all. I would recommend eating something with both kind of pills, this is better for your stomach, and the pills will digest better.
ADD is where you cannot focus or stay organized or be on time or remember where you put things. You tend to be mellow, sometimes reserved, a reader-studier-writer-you like puzzles-movies. ADHD is the above but with a hyper aspect to it. You feel like you are bouncing of the walls and when you are younger you really do bounce jump, climb, hop, fidget, poke, tease.....you have a hard time with reading, writing, anything that requires concentration or being still is almost impossible. What stimulates it is typically food allergies. I am not ADD or ADHD but I am the daughter of a ADHD mother, I have two brothers that are ADHD, I was married to a man with ADHD and I have a son that has ADHD. So without having it I know ADHD first hand. My son is extremely allergic to all dairy. If he has a yogurt or a piece of cheese and he goes from mellow to hyper in a minute. My mom is allergic to dairy. My brother is allergic to potatoes. Odd but true. But there are other triggers too. If you get too hungry or do not eat enough protein you will get irritable and cranky. Boredom, you need to be constantly doing something. It is usually something physical, reading is not something that you have the patience for. Hyperactivity sufferers many times turn to drugs to even out how they feel and the hyperness they feel in their head. If they do not turn to drugs or alcohol many times they will self medicate with sugar & caffeine. It is a cycle of high and low. When you feel low you will eat/drink something high in sugar and/or caffeine to get that high and then when you get that low again you use sugar or caffeine What helps? Find out what you are allergic to and stay away from those foods. Eat really healthy and eat often. Smaller meals every two or so hours and that will help keep the highs and lows even. Limit sugar and caffeine. Also check if you are low in any cell salts as many times ADHD sufferers crave salt because they are low in one.
Can you mix Strattera and codeine?
You can if you have a prescription for the codeine. Remember that your ADHD makes you more likely to become addicted to things, so be careful with the codeine. Follow the doctor's directions carefully and don't take extra. Remember that codeine makes you drowsy and sluggish, also.
Strattetra is (R)-N-Methyl-3-phenyl-3-(o-tolyloxy)propan-1-amine.

Would my 13 year old who has ADD Tourettes mild OCD and on Tenex now be a candidate for Strattera?
Strattera (atomoxetine) is often used to treat ADHD and can be considered for individuals with coexisting conditions like ADD and mild OCD. However, whether your 13-year-old is a suitable candidate depends on various factors, including their specific symptoms, overall health, and current medication regimen. It’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider or psychiatrist to evaluate the potential benefits and risks of adding Strattera, especially considering the existing treatment with Tenex.
