i need to replace rear seat belt. appears that i need to remove rear seat,

For pre MY10

  1. Step 1

01 Forester makes buzzing noise when accelerating pitch gets higher stepping on gas and gets lower when coasting to lower speed seems to go along with change in rpms new LF axle inaudible at 65mph?

You should check if the clutch is still OK. When it gets worn out, the engine 'races' to high revs ( with high pitch) when you accelerate. When driving without much load on the engine, that is, for example, coasting on the straight and a higher speed, the engine will sound fine but try to accelerate harder and the 'revving up' will show up again.

The parking lights on your 2001 Subaru Forester do not go off The switch is not turning them off?

If the switch is not turning off the parking lights on your 2001 Subaru Forester, it could be due to a faulty switch, a wiring issue, or a problem with the lighting control module. I recommend checking the switch for any visible damage or debris, and if that doesn't solve the issue, it may be necessary to consult a mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

How to disable the seat belt chime on a 2009 forester?

Stop complaining and put your seat belt on donekey, or you might end up like the guy I saw the other day, whose car overturned, he was thrown out of the side window, somersaulted in the air, hit the highway and then got hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction. Seat belts are there to protect you, so you should not need to disconnect the reminder. I think I understand the reason for your confusion. You start under the console lid, removing the screws under plastic buttons at the front of the lid and, as I recall, screws at the bottom of the console tray. You then work your way forward, removing each panel until you get to the radio.

If you change a Subaru Impreza transmission and rear differential from a 4.11 ratio to a 4.44 ratio will you have to change the rear hubs as well as the rear axles?

I just can't imagine why you would want to even attempt this. You know that you do need to change the front differential ratio at the same time. You do know that it is all wheel drive, right?. As for changing the rest of the driveline, you will need to ask the supplier of the differential whether the old parts will work with the new differential. There is no inherent reason why you would need to do so.

Incorrect.^^^ The front diff. is built into the tranny. You can bolt the 4.44 trans and rear right in no problems. Ive done it. The reason he would do so is to get a lower gear ratio for more low end, great for racing, rallying, etc. kinda low for cruising the highway, but usable.-Tomcat
