How do you get involved with Jr Motocross?

Go to the AMA's web site to find out the bike classes for your child to make sure that you are buying a bike with the correct disposition for your child's age. 4-6 is going to be in the pee wee Jr class and 7-8 is the pee wee Sr. class. The AMA defines age as what you were on Jan 1 that racing year. Older than 8, you would be getting into the 65 cc class. To get started, I would recommend a used bike. You can not be sure if the liking of the sport will stick! Used, or cheaper gear is recommended for the same reason. Though, an exception would be helmet, obviously. You do not want anything sub-par when it comes to that. Check where your local track is for competition as well as practice. Most tracks offer memberships, or pay as you ride options. The motocross community is helpful so you will make a lot of friends who will help familiarize you with the ins and outs. Good Luck!

Oil to gas mix 1996 rm 125?

32:1 (1oz of oil to 32oz of gas) if your are running cheap oil. You can go as high as 50:1 if you are running a high quality synthetic oil. Oh and that is 2 stroke oil designed for premix use. { Well some riders disagree with running 50:1 because the top end is very fragile and if it blows it may ruin the complete engine. So i would use high quality 2 cycle oil mixed at 32:1 . And if i had to run that cheap stuff i mix mine at around 24:1 . I ride 96 Rm 250 with wiseco piston, also have a pair of Quadzillas lt500r 2 stroke 4 wheelers. I recommend some Yamalube mixed at 32:1 .And your bike will last and race a long life.it is also friendly on plug life. }

What 2 stroke oil to put in 2005 Suzuki RM 250?

Depends if you want to run petroleum or synthetic.

Yamalube is a good clean burning petroleum based 2 stroke oil that I have run in my race bikes at 40:1 since around 1986.

As far as the synthetics, the only one I have run is Golden Spectro.

Which is the larger gear on a bike - 1st or 5th?

i assume you're referring to the gears mounted on the back wheel. the larger(size) gear is 1, the smaller is 5, meaning 1 is low(relative) gear and 5 is high gear. same with a car.

What causes gas to run out the bottom of the carburetor on a 2001 polaris scrambler?

I hope I have found the answer. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to. I found the following at an ATV answer site. The seat fits into the body of the carb over the fuel inlet port. The seat has an 'o' ring that holds it in snug. Fuel seeps past the seat 'o' ring where it sits in the fuel inlet. Chang the 'o' ring and it should stop the leak.

possibly the needle valve in the carb if the gas stops running out when the engine is running that's my bet

i may be too late, but this happened to me a while back. The drain plug of the carb bowl has a rubber support under it. i have no idea why, but the rubber contacting the steel rubbed a hole right through the center of the drain plug. this caused gas to leak when the engine was stopped and made the motor run rough. it was a cheap part, but took two weeks to show up...easy fix though.

Belive it or not I got one for 5 $ no kidding im serious. Much would depend on where you are departing from. From Saint Kitts, the price would be a modest amount, more expensive from Chicago and a First Class ticket from Christchurch becomes a big ticket item.
