Why would dashlights brighten upon acceleration?

It means that the voltage is going up as the alternator spins faster.

4 posibilities;

1 Your battery is dying and the alternator is working harder to charge it when you accelerate. The lights are comming up to full brightness.

2 You have a bad connection at the battery terminals or frame ground and the battery can't hold the voltage down. The lights are receiving too much voltage and are more likely to fail.

3 The voltage regulator on the alternator is failing and overcharging the battery. The lights are receiving too much voltage and are more likely to fail.

4 The battery needs water. The lights are receiving too much voltage and are more likely to fail.

What animal eat Labrador Tea?

Labrador tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum) is primarily consumed by herbivorous animals, particularly moose and caribou, which may eat its leaves and stems. Other animals, such as rabbits and certain insects, may also nibble on the plant. However, it's important to note that Labrador tea contains compounds that can be toxic in large quantities, so not all animals will consume it regularly.

Is Montreal have a tundra climate?

No. Alberta generally has a dry, continental (quite cold in winter and quite warm in summer) climate. The only places in Alberta cold enough to have a tundra climate are high elevations in mountains, above the line where trees can't grow. The rest of Alberta (essentially all of it) is nowhere near a tundra climate; the summers are too warm.

What happens when permafrost melts in the summer?

As the name suggests the permafrost is permanently frozen, summer and winter. The surface may have some liquid water, but the deeper layers are cold enough not to thaw.

This situation is changing as global climate change progresses. The permafrost will disappear leaving vast tracts of boggy land that are not capable of walking on (bad news for the communities and migrating herds of caribou). In addition the melting permafrost will release vast quantities of methane gas which will make climate change even more severe.

What are some ways to convince your husband to let you stay at home with your child if you are planning to have another one soon?

It's always about money, so sit down and make a list of your bills and see if his pay check alone will cover those bills and if he can pay all those bills then other than your husband not wanting another child there is no other reason. Having another child as you know is a big step and he may have some hidden fears, so please sit down with him and just talk. Ask him if he has any problems with having another child and if he mentions money then hit him with that list of facts and figures. == I stayed home with both kids with no regrets. However, if my husband had not seen it the same way, I would have looked for a compromise. That would perhaps include a limited time period, your part time work on his time off, or working from home, saving ahead and paying down debt, or a plan for especially frugal housekeeping. You both have to work toward your financial goals, so several talks about how this can be done will be needed. Pick a time when you both are not tired and will not be interrupted--Saturday mornings have worked for us.

Do bats live in the tundra?

Yes, some bats do live in the tundra. Usually there are not a lot of them in any particular area because the simple habitats in the tundra can't support more than a small group of them.

What are some endangered species in the alpine tundra?

Grizzly bears are found mainly in the northernmost regions of North America. They reside in the tundra and alpine meadows and forests. Their population numbers started to drop drastically after the beginning of the 19th century when grizzlies became popular for hunting expeditions. At one point in the 1970s, there were only 300 grizzly bears estimated to be left in the continental United States. The marmot, a cousin to the groundhog, is considered endangered in Canada. There is very little food in high mountain altitudes for the marmots, and they are easy targets for predators. There were as little as 20 marmots on Vancouver Island....

The grizzly is now considered just an inland race of the brown bear, and since the brown bear is considered "Least Concern" by the IUCN, so must all races of this bear.

Why is winter the best time to cut lumber?

The main reason lumber is primarily cut in the winter is that the ground is frozen, which allows access for heavy logging equipment with limited damage to the soil. Also, winter cut logs have tight bark, which is an advantage to protect against bug infestation for logs that sit a long time before processing, but with cold weather and since sap is not running, bugs are usually a minimal threat. Tight bark remaining on the edges of boards can be a design attribute for plank style lumber, however, usually the logs are debarked as a matter of course.

What physical factors are unique to the tundra?

The tundra has more than one type of biome. An Alpine tundra, like the Rocky Mountains, is incredibly cold. Trees are unable to survive the severe winter weather- frozen soil, ice winds and UV radiation. There are shrubs that grow in these biomes though.

The tundra is the farthest north of all the world's biomes.

The winter temperatures average about -30 F throughout most of the true Arctic including the North Pole. The coldest weather occurs in northeastern Siberia. There January temperatures average -40 F, and have reached -93 F. Most other parts of Siberia and the sub arctic sections of central Asia, Canada, and central Alaska have an average winter temperatures of about -20 F. The mildest winters occur in the coastal regions of the Pacific Oceans, where January temperatures average about 30 F.

These same regions have mild summers, with average temperatures of about 45 F. The warmest summers occur in the inland regions of Siberia, Alaska, and Canada. July temperatures there average around 60 F. Weather stations have recorded temperatures of 90 F and above in these regions.

Winter storms develop chiefly in two areas where the barometric pressures remains low. One of these areas, called the Aleutian low, extends from eastern Siberia to the Gulf of Alaska. The other, the Icelandic low, covers central Canada, half of the Arctic Ocean, and parts of the North Atlantic Ocean and northern Europe. Storms beginning in these areas tend to travel from northwest to southwest.

Rainfall in many arctic regions totals six to ten inches a year, including melted snow. This is less rain than falls on some of the world's greatest deserts! Much of the arctic has rain and fog in the summer. In spite of the low annual rainfall, arctic lands may be very wet underfoot because the moisture evaporates slowly and drainage conditions are poor. There is also a lot of permafrost, ice that never goes away in the ground that is usually about five feet deep.
