Are there any deserts in Uganda?
A desert is sometimes defined as an area with a rainfall of less than 250mm a year, therefore New Zealand does not have any significant areas of true desert. Some small areas of inland Otago and Canterbury in the South Island do have this low an annual rainfall, but only just. One area is around the town of Alexandra, which has an annual rainfall of less than 400mm.
Some reasons for the misconception that New Zealand has desert is the name for one of the State highways in the central North Island being the Desert Road and there is a region known as the Rangipo desert. It has a much higher rainfall than a desert,(about four times as much) but has high winds and poor soils and is at a high altitude, so seems like a desert because plants struggle to survive. The Rangipo "desert" is on the volcanic plateau in the central North Island.
Why did Omukama Kabalega of Bunyoro in Uganda rebel against the British?
Omukama Kabalega rebelled against the British because he was aware of his military strength. He had set up a very strong army known as ''Abarusura'' who were very strong and loyal to him. His army of the ''Abarusura'' was a standing one and he had tried to arm them with spears, swords, shields and most of all, with guns which he had acquired from Arabs through trade. Having seen how his army had managed to beat all his neighbors as far as Tanzania, Kenya,Rwanda, he could not imagine anyone tampering with him so this gave him the strength to rebel against the British.

By bold, I took it that you meant having no hair on their heads, and not bold character. This I would say is because most schools in Uganda insist on all children triming or shaving their hair at the beginnning of every term, irrespective of gender, and some even require students to trim their hair in the middle of the term in an effort to keep the students uniform and tidy as many children are not able to keep long hair neat and tidy. However, I at times feel this is taken a little too far as even high school seniors are asked to do the same and some schools almost ask for clean-shaven heads, though it must be noted that this isn't always the case. I hope that is an answer sufficient enough.
