Are married same-sex members of the US military eligible for exemption from Hostile-Fire Areas?
Not currently. However, this benefit was specifically enumerated among those cited in a February 11, 2013 memo from Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta that would become available to same-sex spouses of US military personnel no later than October 1, 2013, or sooner, should the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act ("DOMA") be repealed or struck down.

How can i visit Lackland Air Force Base graduation ceremonies?
not just anyone can attend graduation ceremonies. first you must be "sponsored" by someone on base or by someone that is graduating. you must provide the base with your identification weeks prior to the actual graduation. i provided the base with my drivers license number several weeks prior to graduation. when you arrive for graduation you check in and receive a visitors pass based upon the identification already provided.
What are the benefits and regulations to being married in the military?
So long as the marriage is legit, the military doesn't have a whole lot to say about it. You'll pay less in taxes if you're filing as head of household, and you'll be eligible for either on-post housing or else a housing and cost-of-living allowance for housing off-post (it all depends on availability), as well as separate rations, rather than a meal card.
Fair warning - the military life is tough on relationships.
www.opm.gov is awesome to find answers regarding applying for government jobs. Also, contact the local military base and speak with the Civilian Employment Office. There is a form that you fill out in order to get veterans preference as either the veteran or the spouse of a veteran. The OPM site wasnt running properly or I would include some links. www.usajobs.com also has some helpful information and links. Hope that helps.
What ranks can live off base in navy?
Just about any rank. However, you may not get BAH for it. Most E-3's and above won't have any problem getting approval if they are married or have dependants, especially if the barrack is close to full compacity.
I know a few that were denied off-base housing. What they would do is "maintain" their barack room and say they were living there; keeping some clothes, blanket, and pillow there for inspections, but were actually living off-base at their own expense.
What are some ways to support individuals through the bereavement process?
By allowing them to grieve in which ever way they can or want to. Everything they will experience will be normal. Give them comfort when it is needed and space when they want it. Suggest a drive away for fresh air away from prying eyes. Do their shopping for them, pay their bills for them, keep guests company and make the tea. Make life easier for them to deal with the grief withut worrying about mundane tasks. but NEVER arrange a funeral or make any plans about their loved ones without their knowledge and permission.
How much do you get from a military medical discharge for knee?
It depends entirely on the level of disability. If you have 100% disability, you will receive 100% of the highest level of pay you received, i.e. if you reached the rank of Staf Sgt. E6 with fifteen years time in service and two years time in grade, you would receive 100% of the pay commensurate with that rank and grade.

Can military spouse claim bankruptcy without their spouse?
According to my lawyer, the answer is yes. I just did and my husband isn't involved since all the debt is in my name. If you have joint accounts both people on the accounts must be involved, but if it's just in one person's name, then just that person can file seperately.
In Illinois what rights does a spouse have after 2 years for alimony?
The chances that someone will be awarded alimony after a 2-year marriage are slim.
If your husband is military what are your rights being married to a military spouse?
The spouse's rights are basically the same as the soldiers, you are entitled to a portion of the Housing Allowance and Food Allowance, you must be provided health and dental insurance, a place to live and food on the table, you have the same legal options and benefit's, access to most place on a military base.

Stess......Not knowing what will happen tommorow But at the same time pride, knowing they are doing something valuable for this country, not gossiping about in on twitter or myspace or any of that
How do you get discharged from the navy if you have family issues at home that need your attention?
You'll need to contact the base's Legal Department and the Red Cross to qualify for a hardship discharge . Justify "Hardship or Dependency." A member's family is suffering severe financial , physical or psychological problems . This would include issues stemming from death , debilitating illness and divorce leaving a family member in a potentially permanent adverse condition . You will need to document your familial situation and justify how your separation will address it . You must also show failed efforts to implement alternative solutions . You may receive a full discharge or be placed in the inactive reserves .

Do military family members receive tuition assistance?
Here is what I found after a little looking on the net... Military Spouses can in many cases receive some sort of tuition assistance. http://www.militaryta.com/More/about-military-spouse-tuition-assistance.shtml With the new Post 9-11 GI Bill, benefits are transferable, so that is another viable option to look into. Here is some post 9-11 GI Bill Information: http://www.militaryta.com/More/post-9-11-gi-bill-information.shtml
If I am in the military how do I get my spouse who is in the military relocated to where I am?
best way to do that is to talk to your/her career planner, and they will work with you to try and get her relocated to where you are, now it might not be the same base if there a few around, example, would be one works at the pentagon the other works at a base 30-45 minutes away, they cant always relocate to the same base but within an hours drive sometimes so you can find a living location inbetween
Why do the elite spray us with chemtrails?
The so called "elite" don't spray the public with chemtrails. That is just an outrageous conspiracy theory. These "chemtrails" have been tested to death and always came out the same. There was nothing abnormal or toxic in them. The differences between various contrails, such as duration, color, and length; are determined by the altitude of the trails, wind shear, sunlight, and humidity around the contrail.
i believe the new regulation is u have to have been married at least eight years to receive benefits. it used to be ten years but i think it just changed.

No. As long as your performance is good, you keep up with your child support obligations etc, and you otherwise meet the criteria for re-enlistment, you should be able to re-enlist.
Due to an unfortunate family issue, I can tell you that as of July 2010 I did not find any airline that provided a discount for the military member or family that made any difference. Delta came close but the discount for booking earlier on a different date was cheaper than the discount they offered for military families. No airline I contacted had any bereavement discount. My apologies.
