How do you change a home page?

I'm assuming that you have Internet Explorer on Windows 7.

On your internet browser, on the top, you should see a menu where it has

File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help

If you don't see this bar, right click on the top of your browser, and select "menu bar". If the bar is already there, skip this step.

If you see the bar, click on the option "tools".

A dropdown menu should come up, on the menu go on the bottom and select "Internet Options".

Once the box comes up you should see a text box with the link of the homepage you have now. Change the link to whatever your want your homepage to be

Hope this helped!

How much does it cost to use the intenet browser on the dsi?

The DSi is not like a mobile telephone, the internet charge is not metered by minutes or bandwidth used.

Just like a PC, the DSi connects to a router - the router is a paid service provided by an ISP, but the payment is a fixed amount. It doesn't matter how many wireless devices connect to that router, the charge is still the same, the additional devices do not incur further charges.

So technically it is 'free', but you must have access to your own wireless signal first.

What are 5 types of browsers?

At present the main browsers in use are

  • Netscape. Originally given away free, but now a commercial product. Netscape's browser gained in popularity because it added a lot of new features to HTML. In doing so it made HTML non-standard though a lot of the Netscape extensions have since been accepted into standard HTML. One of the major Netscape extensions was JavaScript.
  • Internet Explorer. Microsoft's (rather late) response to Netscape. Not yet as popular, but being free and ubiquitous may fix that in a few years. As with Netscape, IE has also extended HTML in its own way.
  • Hotjava. Not that popular at the moment, but supplied by the people (Sun) who supply the Java programming language and environment that is likely to play a large part in making web pages more interactive.
  • Mosaic. Still in use, but showing its age, and no longer being developed.
  • Lynx. This is a text-based browser that is remarkably popular despite (or because of) this fact. Lynx can be a very fast and effective way of browsing the net, if only because it dispenses with all the time-consuming graphics.
  • Opera. New kid on the block. Given good reviews primarily for its reputation for being fast (especially since the big 2 went to version 4 and became unweildly). Probably not as "fully featured" as some others.

The easiest way to configure Tor is to use the Vidalia front end (http://vidalia-project.net/).

Is private browsing really private?

Depends on how private is "really private". For private browsing, cookies and history won't be saved, which means the normal people, the consumers, cannot retrieve the information under private browsing. However, the ISP, or Internet Service Provider, will still have the information. Also, the website you visited have the record that you did access that page too. Thus, if a person really wants to find traces, it is still possible.
