Should you complete aerobic exercise before or after a strength training workout?

The advantage of aerobic exercise after strength training is that the increased blood flow throughout the body removes lactic acid and metabolic waste from the muscle and provides the muscles with nutrients. Moreover, you will be warming up the muscles for a more effective session of stretching at the end of your workout. You were planning to do a full body stretch, right? Stretching is important to developing full range of motion for the joints and muscles.

How do you be sporty but with a nice look?

Really its all into loose, but fitted. Loose sweatpants (Open leg bottoms, not elastic, and a wide waist band) that are fitted to your shape and lower on your hips so they touch the ground a little bit, with a t shirt and jacket that also fit you well but hang a little loose. Tennis shoes, medium cut socks, sport flops with socks, hair loosely back or down. Little to no make up and a few nice but small pieces of easily removed jewelry such as rings or bracelets. A team jacket helps, they make them in girly styles that still declare your sport. College sport shirts, pants with college names on them. Your high school name, a team name. Its also about showing your school pride, people who play sports love to show off their team.

Whats the physical motion of bench pressing?

Most people assume it's straight up and down but actually the way to get the most out of the bench press and the actual way most people perform this exercise is taking it at a slight curve on the way down more towards the body, and pressing at a slight curve as you return the bar back up, curving it towards the rack, again this is a slight curve, not a huge one, the bench press just like any other exercise you need to master form before you start stacking on weight. If you were talking about anatomical motion of the bench press, then as you lower the bar in the movement, you are extending the upper arm at the shoulder joint while flexing the forearm at the elbow joint. While pressing the weight back up you are flexing the upper arm at the shoulder joint, and extending the forearm at the elbow joint

What percentage of bodyfat is normal for a pro bodybuilder?

Most pro bodybuilders on stage have a "reported" bodyfat of anywhere from 3-5% Keep in mind you naturally store 2.5% of your body fat through out the brain so I think that these numbers may be a little exagerrated but I think some of them probbaly do get as low as 4.5% body fat for a show. The lowest I've ever gotten for a show was 5.9% They don't maintain that all the time though, the other times of the year that they aren't dieting for a show typically you can find most dedicated bodybuilders around 8-11 in the off season. Some guys like to really bulk up and may exceed that in an effort to put on weight and get stronger.

What is the main difference between the muscles built through push-ups pull-ups and those built through weightlifting?

It all depends on repetitions. If you can Bench press 'X' amt of weight 10 times and you can only perform 10 push ups, then you're most likely going to get the same trianing effect out of it. The typical trained athlete can perform many push ups and will perform a similar weight lifting exercise for lower reps, example a Bench Press... The effect on these two types of training and the effect on the type of muscle it would build are as follows: Say you can push up 30 times, this is going to help build your endurance, now let's say you can bench press 150lbs 30 times....you're still going to be imporving muscular endurance, now let's say you rack so more weight on the bench press and you have on 225lbs and you can only lift it 10 times, it will give the training effect of hypertrophy, MEANING. growth of your muscle. Most exercise scientists agreee that these rep ranges give these following effects to the body: 12 reps and higher = more endurance work 8-10 reps = muscle mass training 7-5 reps = strength training 4 reps and lower = power training

This is all a little dependent on genetics as well and if you're drug free or not, but this is a pretty sure fire way to know what kind of effect you're going to get from exercising.

Your muscles are composed of two different types of fibers for two different types of workouts. These two types are fast-twitch and slow-twitch. Fast-twitch muscle fibers are used when you are lifting a large amount of weight only a few times (strength). Slow twitch muscle fibers are used when you are lifting a smaller amount of weight many times (endurance). When you do push-ups and pull-ups, you may be utilizing your fast-twitch muscles if you are weak and can only do a few reps. As your endurance increases, you will likely start using your slow-twitch muscles as they develop.

What is eccentric movement?

The idea of eccentric movement generally speaks to movement from or off a circular path. Picture a round shaft that rotates. Now picture a circular or disc-shaped piece rigidly attached to the end of the shaft and rotating with it. Now picture the disc rigidly fixed to the end of the rotating shaft, but not directly on center. The circle will continue to move around with the shaft, but when the eccentric disc is looked at from the side, the edge of the disc will vary in its distance from the observer owing to the eccentric mount. A common application of this mechanism might be on the drive wheel of a steam locomotive.

On the drive wheel of a steam locomotive, the large driven wheel, the drive wheel, is built onto the end of an axle, and the two are concentric. But if we can picture a situation where we put something that is an "extension" onto the axle, and that this extension sticks out beyond the wheel, and then shift the extension off the center of the main axle, we'll have our eccentric in that shaft extension. If we turn the wheel, the round "extension" will move in a circle, but that circle will move around the center of the main axle and not rotate in alignment with it. Now put a collar around the eccentric, and then connect a straight operating rod to the collar. As the main wheel turns, the eccentric moves with it, and the operating rod will move back and forth along the direction in which it is pointed. This operating shaft is used in steam locomotives to operate a so-called sliding valve.

There is always a temptation for people to believe that dietary supplementation (such as Creatine, Amino Acids, extra Protein) makes a difference to performance. While a well-balanced diet is always important in athletic performance, it is a wrong mindset to think about supplementation rather than than the content of your training. There are also concerns about the consumption of Creatine.
