How do you calculate space complexity?

Calculate the amount of additional memory used by the algorithm relative to the number of its inputs. Typically the number of inputs is defined by a container object or data sequence of some type, such as an array. If the amount of memory consumed remains the same regardless of the number of inputs, then the space complexity is constant, denoted O(1) in Big-Omega notation (Big-O). If the amount of memory consumed increases linearly as n increases, then the space complexity is O(n).

For example, the algorithm that sums a data sequence has O(1) space complexity because the number of inputs does not affect the amount of additional memory consumed by the accumulator. However, the algorithm which copies a data sequence of n elements has a space complexity of O(n) because the algorithm must allocate n elements to store the copy.

Other commonly used complexities include O(n*n) to denote quadratic complexity and O(log n) to denote (binary) logarithmic complexity. Combinations of the two are also permitted, such as O(n log n).

Does Matt stone have a kid or is that just more made up wikipedia bull sht because you cant find anywhere else that says he does apart from wikipedia which is a bit dodgy?

First of all, wikipedia is not that bad. It just sometimes get's corrupted from people with agendas. I think that it is still a good starting point, if it only says so on wikipedia, then I wouldn't take it seriously. Wikipedia says, "We do not expect you to trust us" It adds that it is "not a primary source" and that "because some articles may contain errors," you should not "use Wikipedia to make critical decisions." Next; I saw that too, but then I went to the "page edit history" section and the person claimed that Matt said so on nightline, but I saw the interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone on nightline and I think the contributer either lied or misunderstood. Neither of them mentioned any kids, but they talked about South Park and religion. In conclusion: check the sources whenever you are using wikipedia.

Why is the spelling in English sometimes confusing?

Because:

* Sometimes the pronunciation of words have changed and the spelling stayed the same, for example: Know. (originally pronounced Cnouw)

* Sometimes we've taken a word from another language with different spelling rules but not changed the spelling, for example: Chef. (The French Ch is pronounced like the English Sh)

* Sometimes we've taken similar words from two languages, the spelling from one and the pronunciation from another, for example: Colonel (from the Italian, we pronounce it closer to the French Coronelle)

* Sometimes misguided spelling reform has put needless letters in, for example: Scissors. (it didn't have the C until Victorian times, it was never pronounced)

* Sometimes a sound has disappeared from the language, and different words with that sound have put a different sound in it's place, for example: Brought, Hiccough, Tough, Draught. The gh in all of these were originally pronounced like the ch in Loch and Bach.
