I've tried the other 'cures' below without success, or else being asked to purchase software! (wonder is this a conspiracy between hp and pcfix software companies???) Anyway, I have just removed the calling program hphmon06.exe and voila! no more message.... This appears to be a H.P. file. I would suggest you reinstall the software or if that doesn't work visit their web site and click support. I just uninstalled all of my HP photo, PSC, etc. programs and then when I rebooted I got an error message that said "The application has failed to start because hpzjrd01.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." I thne searched the recycle bin and then the entire drive using both the full file name and the only "hpzjrd" with no results. I also searched the HP website and they have nothing there either. The way it APPEARS right now is that it was a direct result of uninstalling those HP programs AND that no harm is done except I may have to live with seeing and closing that error message every time I boot up. I supect though that if I find what it is trying to load and get rid of that command I will be o.k. Click on Start > Run and type MSCONFIG and click OK. Click on Startup tab. Uncheck all entries starting with hp or related to hp. Click Apply and OK. Restart computer. On restarting you will get msg that system is in selective startup. Place a checkbox next to Do not show this message again. The error message will not reappear again now. go to hp.com simple Just Go to dllsearch.com and get your file from there and paste it in two locations c:\windows\system & your installed directory this is for windows 98 for 2000 or xp past it in c:\winnt\system and your installed directory You can find the update on the www.hp.com website problems and troubleshooting at the top of the issues is this problem. This is a pirated version of Windows XP Professional. It has the full version of Windows XP and is made so it doesn't ask for a product key, while still passing authenticity tests. The real special thing about this release, though, is that it includes many pieces of software, many of them also pirated, which can be installed in bulk after installing xp. These pieces of software, while no doubt very useful and productive, are still illegal to use because you haven't paid for them. Therefore, I don't recommend at all using the black xp because:

1) It may have viruses, backdoors, trojans, etc. (mess up your computer, steal your information and identity)

and 2) All of the software is illegal, not to mention the xp itself, so you could end up getting sued by hundreds of companies for millions of dollars. Though this eventuality is highly unlikely, it comes down more to a moral decision. This software was created by hundreds of hard working people and pirating it is no different than walking into a store and stealing it. I know you probably have heard this many times before, but guess what? It's true.
