Achieving enlightened awareness in Zen is called 'awakening,' because it's somewhat like waking up from a dreaming sleep. Anyone who is awake has realized one's True Self or Buddha Nature.

You cannot design a true Zen garden any more than you can set out rules to be spontaneous. Like many aspects of Zen it comes from an instantaneous appreciation of the whole. The Zen approach would be to contemplate the location where you suspect a garden might be situated, until you can see it in your mind, then place the plants, rocks and sand where the plants, rocks, and sand exist in your vision of the garden.

Alternately you can build a Western interpretation of a Zen garden (see link) which will have the appearance of the garden without the spirit of it.

I think we should not be looking for "major criticisms" of any religion, since to do so could be regarded as offensive to its adherents. Look for the truth about religions, and if that leads to something that appears critical, or favourable, so be it. Therefore, a major criticism that Buddhism shares equally with Christianity, Judaism and all other religions is that no religion can be objectively proven to be the Truth. Perhaps the best answer to this question is to quote from Zoroastrianism: Good thoughts, good words and good deeds.

zen mom goes through her daily chores without an emotional stain. She is not temped by circumstances from within nor from outside. She doesn't waste her energy on gossips nor falsethoughts. She fits well into the environment and the environment fits well into her where ever she is at.

That is impossible to say. There are no contemporary Indian records on his life. All we know about him comes from those of China. The records conflict with one another--they state he is Persian or from various areas of India. Plus, there is no way of knowing where he was buried. This means that scientific genetic testing cannot be performed.This is a history in chen , japan & endoneshia is the best aplicate in science ?
