Well, with the theory that you freeze a candlestick in order to remove the wax, perhaps putting a block of ice on the wax and then trying to scrape it off would work. Heating the wax would tend to make the problem worse.

your house probably isn't safe structually and medically. You could get very ill from being around so much mold. if you want to save your home start by replacing the walls one by one. That's studs and dry wall.

DON'T PUT IT IN THE DRYER that will "set" the bledding color! immediately put it back in the washer with a cup of white vinegar. that will lift the bleeding color but not fade the red. If you already put it in the dryer and "set" the bledding color, try using bleach to get the pink out, but don't get it on the red part. THat would turn the red white.

A terrific way to clean stainless steel appliances is ----------- a few drops (not too many) of olive oil on a paper towel or soft cloth cleans range hoods, microwaves, cook tops, etc so well they are as good as a mirror!!

A very old-fashioned, but very effective, method of getting white clothing, linens or towels bright white again is to boil them. I've always used a combination of Tide and Biz (an enzyme cleaner usually found in the laundry section of the grocery store). Use about 1/4 C of each. Add to a large pot of water and bring to a boil. Add your fabric and let it cook for about 20 minutes in a well-ventilated area. I've used this for antique baby dresses and linens and they always come out bright sparkling white. Should you use this for clothing, remember to remove buttons first - they'll melt in the boiling water! I have been able to remove permnanent ink from many surfaces by using hair spray (any brand will do). Spray generously on the area, use a dry cloth to blot away the disolved ink, repeat as often as needed. Rinse area thoroughly after. Be sure to do a small test spot first to insure that the hair spray will not damage the surface. Pick an inconspicuous area for the test site.

Try mineral spirits. Start in a small spot to make sure it doesn't damage the wood, but it SHOULD pull the wax without harming the wood. If the wood has varnish, laquer or some other sealer over the surface that will keep water out of the grain, you can also try some ice. Ice will make the wax brittle, and you should be able to just scrape most of it off with a fingernail. Reapply the ice when the wax starts to soften. If you decide to try the mineral spirits, make sure a window is open and you have a way to get rid of the fumes. Most varnishes, laquers and polyurethanes are not damaged by mineral spirits, but don't use laquer thinner, acetone, nail polish or any other solvents. If the oak is stained with just an oil stain and no sealer, you may need to use a little danish oil stain when you're done. But if it has varnish, laquer or some other sealer you shouldn't harm anything with the mineral spirits.

Clothing starch or laundry starch is a liquid that is prepared by mixing a vegetable starch in water (earlier preparations also had to be boiled), and is used in the laundering of clothes. Starch was widely used in Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries to stiffen the wide collars and ruffs of fine linen which surrounded necks of the well-to-do. Sorry to say but you can't remove bleach spots. Bleach obviously bleaches the color out of clothing. It may be possible for you to get cloth paint in the same color as the fabric at a craft store and if that fails then you're sunk.

There is an all purpose cleaner called Greased Lightning. The best place to get it is Buy it and spray on the burn mark. Let set for 3 - 8 min and then wipe of with a dry sponge. Repeat as needed.

Hello. I wouldn't use rubbing alcohol as a outdoor tanner because once the sun comes into contact with the rubbing alcohol it will cause the alcohol to heat and become very uncomfortable or cause burning on your skin. Stick to normal after sun protection.

To clean cement from brick, a common ratio is to mix 1 part muriatic acid with 10 parts water. Always wear protective gear, follow product instructions, and test a small area first to ensure it does not damage the surface.
