You would best refer to a map in a book. Try to free-hand draw it first. If you have trouble with free-hand, make a Xerox copy of the book picture and try tracing the outline. Next, locate the city you wish to put on the map. You can use a darkened circle to designate the city. Label the circle, right above, with the city name. Label the state name. You should probably include the capitol city too--use a star to designate it and label it.

Three point linear prespective is when there are three established vanishing points. In three point linear prespective verticles cease to be verticle and instead run twords the third vanishing point. In this particular prespective the first two vanishing points establish the horizon line whil the third is located either above or below the horizon line.

It seems that you are asking about a ray diagram, or ray trace. One of the links below is a picture of a basic ray diagram. It shows how to trace the extent of a shadow cast by an opaque object on a screen. Basically, draw a line from the light source to an edge of the object and continue to where it touches the screen (a point source is easiest, but extended source is more accurate in that it shows where shading is and why). If you draw lines from the light source to several parts of the object, it builds a more accurate picture. This illustrates the phenomenon that light can (hypothetically) project an infinite number of rays (another way to look at it, a wavefront) to cast the exact shape of the object on a background.

Certain panels need storyboard three-point perspective in order to accurately depict what the shot will look like on the screen. A shot of New York city taken from a helicopter won't look right unless the drawing employs three-point perspective, for example. That's the job of the storyboard, to give an accurate depiction of what to shoot and how it'll look.

The term graffiti which is the plural of the term graffito was first used in the mid 1800's and referred to drawings made on public surfaces. Of course hieroglyphics were used many thousands of years before that.

There is no way to tell people how to draw with pastels because every artist has different strategies. (there is no right or wrong answer.)

You can, however, offer your strategies to help people on the road of becoming artists.

For instance, i love using my fingers to blend pastels, even though others like using cutips

if our using only grey lead then simply draw them with a grey lead pencil but if your using colors try using white with a bit of grey or light blue

Another option is to use a small, battery powered electric eraser. They come with small nibs that are well suited to "etching out" fine lines such as whiskers.

It will take some practice, but you can etch pretty fine white lines out of a pencil drawing with these erasers and it is much more effective for the task than a kneaded eraser. If you need a super fine line, just cut the top of the eraser with a razor so that it is completely flat, giving you a nice hard edge.

Be sure and get one of the small battery powered ones. They sell them everywhere online at all the art supply stores and some office stores. These rotate faster and have finer tips than the big corded electric erasers, making them more well suited to fine detail work.

I believe that a paper collage involves one cutting out paper, and gluing it to 'something' else.

A break-apart drawing is other wise known as a math mountain in certain grades

Rows are generally horizontal (side to side), whereas columns go vertically (up and down) So, take a ruler and tick off four marks, an inch apart. Then, join these marks by drawing a line. Now, take the ruler and lay it perpendicular to the line you just drew. Line the zero mark to one of the marks you made on the line you drew. Draw a new line (going perpendicular to the existing line, right?). Upon this line, make five marks, one inch away from each other and from the zero mark. Using these marks, draw a grid that will measure 4"x6". There y'go!
