The border control is much more leniant when going from US to Mexico, because the Mexicans don't care as much. But when walking from Mexico to US, get ready to dogde bullets and run very fast from dogs and cars.

I supose it is because we look at the world as a comunity that we are a part of and it is humane thing to do to help people that are in urgent need of help. Well, you can either go to the Vietnam embassy in Bangkok (you can look up the address on the internet) and apply for one. The fee is pretty high and you need to wait a couple of weeks (I'm not sure exactly how long).

Or, an easier way is to apply for vietnam visa on arrival at airports of Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city or Danang city) which means you apply for your visa via the internet and pick the visa up at the Vietnam airport. This way is more convenient, faster and cheaper. The service fee is around 22 USD give or take and then when you pick up your visa at the airport you need another 25 USD/pp for stamping fee of single entry visa or 50USD/pp for stamping fee of multiple entry visa.
