The benefit is that it shows a potential employer/graduate program where your interests are. Typically, a minor degree has some sort of guideline for achieving it, so you can't just take 1 or 2 classes and say you minored in something. Where can a 14 year old girl get a job in arvada Colorado?

You can try checking into a paper route, assisting a neighbor w/ things around their home/ yard, or try checking some local & private owned businesses. Help your family and ask for pay instead of whatever you are currently getting for your deeds! ==At your tender age...== You are probably a little young for a fast food job. You would have to check Co. law. However, you could babysit, cut lawns, clean houses, be a window washer for your neighbors, make and sell holiday decorations, buy a stencil set and paint addresses on your neighbor's curbs. It's darned hard being a teenager. Much is expected of you, but much is denied too. I think that if you use your imagination, you will come up with something. I'm your cheerleader! What r the graduation courses in commerce after 10 plus 2?

The best course to study is the one that leads to your overall career goals and objectives. Thus, I would imagine you do not have anything specific at this time. So many individuals enroll in college programs without a specific goal in mind. As such, many become miserable in their work which is not good for them, or their employer. If you want to be successful in your work and personal life, carefully consider the following.

To be successful in your work, you must acquire a vision. A vision is a clearly articulated picture of the future you intend to create for yourself. In other words, it's a dream. However, if the dream does not have direction, it will always remain a dream and will never become a reality for you. That vision should create a passion within you, a love for what you do and the benefit it will bring to others as well as yourself. Make sure the vision is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and tangible. Let us look at this closer. When you believe you have chosen an appropriate career goal, look at it in SMART fashion as follows.

  • Specific - Make sure your career goal is very specific. For example, "I would like to be a teacher," is not specific. "I would like to be a high school biology teacher in New Jersey (USA) in an urban school by 2012" is.
  • Measurable - Make sure you can measure your progress. How will I know I am progressing in the right direction? This is where the development of short-term objectives comes in (discussed below). You will know you are on the right path as you accomplish each short -term objective.
  • Achievable - Is the goal achievable considering my current life situation and circumstances?
  • Realistic - Is what I want to do really realistic. For example, "I would like to be a middle weight boxing champion, and I am 63 years old." That is not realistic.
  • Tangible - What will I - specifically - have at the end? What will I be (exactly)? It must be very specific. In addition, you must establish a time frame, with deadlines. The time frame will create a sense of urgency which will limit the possibility of procrastination.

Once you acquire that vision your path will become clear. Still, you will need a mentor, counselor, or coach who will be able to help you develop a road map embedded with short-term objectives leading to your overall career goals and objectives. The achievement of short-term objectives will indicate you are moving in the correct direction, and will also give you energy and excitement to carry on towards your overall career goal. It will take some research, but you most likely have some ideas already. Follow them through, look at the nature of the field, the everyday routine, the required education, the salary, the occupational demand and the related fields. When a career sparks an interest, try to shadow an individual who is actually doing what you think you might like to do. You can pick up valuable information this way. Thus, the following.

  • Acquire the will to change circumstances.
  • Acquire the vision (dream).
  • Develop a road-map embedded with short-term objectives leading to your overall goal and objective.
  • Just do it and do not let go until it becomes a reality.

How do you qualify to be bonded?

As far as I know in California, normally employers will not bond a felon or someone with current/existing warrants for their arrest; however, this is not the case in all states. I would recommend contacting your local Attorney General's office or even the District Attorney's office (with the state) and perhaps they could guide you to the correct source. Most positions that involve money have their employees bonded. It's rather like insurance on you that you won't steal anything. Good Luck!!

<><>

You really need to contact your state's Employment and Securities Council or Commission. You may be bonded for many different professions, such as a "licensed and bonded tree trimmer".

If you are an individual with a "previous life" from a conviction for a felony or some misdemeanors, depending again on your state, or even bad credit, it refers to a Federal Fidelity Bond. It bonds applicants that have barriers preventing them from entering the workforce. These bonds are issued for a six month duration, beginning upon the first day of employment.

<><>

In California, the dept of labor (DOL) created the Federal Bonding Program as an employer job-hire incentive that guaranteed the job honesty of at-risk job seekers. Federal financing of fidelity bond insurance, issued free-of-charge to employers, enables the delivery of bonding services as a unique job placement tool to assist ex-offenders and other at risk or hard-to-place job applicants (e.g. recovering substance abusers, welfare recipients, individuals with poor credit, etc.). The Employment Development Department (EDD) administers this program on behalf of DOL.

Fidelity Bonding is insurance purchased to indemnify employers for loss of money or property suffered through the dishonest acts of their employees (i.e., theft, forgery, larceny and embezzlement). Employers receive the bonds free-of-charge as an incentive to hire hard-to-place job applicants as wage earners. The fidelity bond insurance reimburses the employer for any loss occurred through employee theft of money or property with no deductible amount becoming the employer's liability, which equals to 100% bond insurance coverage.

For years the EDD offered bonding services in the Workforce Services offices (formerly known as Job Service). This directive expands this service to Local Workforce Investment Areas and endorses the "user-friendly" character of the Federal Bonding Program by adopting the key features as follows:

  • No special application forms the job seeker has to complete

  • No papers for employers submittal or sign for free bond incentive to hire.

  • No follow-up and no termination actions on bonds issued.

  • No deductible in bond insurance amount from wayward employees.

  • No Federal regulations covered on bonds issued.

National management and direction for the Federal bonding Program is provided by The McLaughlin Company in Washington, D.C., under contract with dept. of labor Employment and Training Admin.

Eligibility for Bonding Services

In order to qualify or be chosen for bonding, job seekers must have a firm job offer and have the legal citizenship. Registration in the Wagner-Peyser Act program or enrollment in the Workforce Investment Act program is not required for bonding. Individuals eligible for bonding services include:

  • Any at-risk job applicant is eligible for bonding services, including ex-offender, recovering substance abusers (alcohol or drugs), welfare recipients and other persons with poor financial credit, economically disadvantaged youth and adults who lack a work history, individuals dishonorably discharged from the military.

  • Current employees who are not bond-able under the employer's insurance and who need bonding in order to secure a promotion to a new job requiring bonding or to prevent layoff or termination.

  • Anyone who cannot secure employment without bonding.

All workers legal age requirements (18 years old) for working in California and be paid wages with federal and state taxes automatically deducted.

Policy and Procedure

Go to your local EDD location or visit the EDD website for Policy and Procedure; also Reporting for Registered and Enrolled Participants, Continuation of Bond Coverages and Retention and Confidentiality of Records.

Where can a 14 year old get a job in Rogers AR?

It will be extremely difficult to find an employer willing to hire a 14-year-old for a regular job. Your best bet is probably to go into business for yourself doing light chores (raking leaves, mowing lawns, shoveling snow) or babysitting, and your potential clients are your family and neighbors.

What does at diplomat do?

Diplomats represent their government. They could also be posted in another country, maybe 3 or 4 years and a diplomat and his/her family would get a diplomatic passport,so when the diplomat is posted in another country, they won't have to pay for the flight. Oh, and the diplomat's parents would also get a special passport, so that they could go for free too and i think the diplomat's children would get free education, when they're out of their country. Believe me, i'm a diplomat's daughter and i would also want to be one.

Recommendation paper

A recommendation paper or paper of recommendationis a letter in which the writer assesses the qualities, characteristics, and capabilities of the person being recommended in terms of that individual's ability to perform a particular task or function. Recommendation papers are almost always specifically requested to be written about someone, and are therefore addressed to a particular requestor. Letters of recommendation are typically related to employment, admissions to institutions of higher education or scholarship eligibility.

What kind of job can a person with a felony get in Mississippi?

Not a very good one. Employers are hesitant to hire convicted felons because of concerns about reliability and honesty. In exchange for being willing to hire a convicted felon, employers expect to pay less. After getting out of prison, felons continue to pay for their crime. On the one hand it's unfortunate for the Ex-Con, but on the other hand you can't blame the employer for wanting something for being willing to take the risk. The person would be unable to obtain a position in law enforcement, security agencies (such as Brinks), most financial institutions, and those professions similar. For the most part in private business it is up to the person who decides who should be hired. It might also depend upon the terms of the person's release or probation, for instance a felony that involved a crime against a minor would negate any type of employment relating to or being in the proximity of children. Several times courts have found hotel or restaurant employers liable when employees with prior convictions commited a crime against a customer or co-worker, so they will NEVER hire someone with a felony conviction. Hospitals also hesitate.

Why does a job ask you if you are bondable?

It's like insurance. You would know if you weren't bondable. You wouldn't be bondable if you had gotten into big trouble for stealing or something like that. That question is usually asked for jobs that require you to handle money and possibly valuable merchandise. Bonding is frequently called ""reverse insurance". Insurance is intended to pay someone for damages by an event that, may or may not have any fault, but is essentially expected to possibly happen, (like a house fire). An insurance company expects to pay some losses - the risk of that loss, to the degree that it is more than the fee/premium charged, is shifted from the insured to the insurance company. Bonding on the other hand, is a way to assure payment (or performance of something) for an event that really should never happen. If payment/performance under a bond must occur, the Bonding Company will try and get paid by the one it bonded. It never agreed there should be or to accept any loss. Hence, along with a fee the company normally gets security/liens/mortgage that it feels is adequate to reimburse it for any amounts it pays. Bonds come in many, frequently specific & independent forms. For example, it is common that a building contractor will have to provide 3 different bonds in many jobs: Bidding, Performance, & Payment. The bid bond assures that if he bids to do a job - wins the bid - and then doesn't agree to to the job as bid, the one who was requesting the bid (and now has to go through the time and expense of redoing it all) gets compensated. The contractor may also have to provide a Performance bond, which basically means if he fails to complete the contract, (walks off the job, etc., ) and the buyer needs to get someone else to do it, there is compensation in the bond amount. This bond may even cover the warrenty period, so there is a way to assure the contractors 10 year guarantee, if say, he's gone then. (Sometimes, instead of paying, the Bonding Company will/must actually step in and hire another contractor to perform). There may be a bond required to assure that payments made to the general Contractor that should be paid to the sub contractors , suppliers or employees, are actually paid to those people. (If the contractor fails to pay a supplier/worker, those people actually have a lien against your property until they are paid, even if you paid the contractor). Hence, a bond is essentially that a large, capable organization (generally an insurance company), agrees that those taking on a responsibility are actually responsible, or the bonding Company will perform in its behalf or compensate....and then get renumeration from the one causing the problem. In most job situations, it means you are considered responsible to be trusted with money, (under what would be expected to be controlled guidelines of your employer). Just being able to be bonded for something, indicating another presumably large/reputable company will stand behind you, is a sign of quality and integrity.
