Is it actually possible to get a black eye from walking into a door wouldn't the nose be in the way?

Not if you are looking through the keyhole and someone open the door. You could hit your upper cheek and outside corner of the eye, but I would look at somebody's fist as a more likely cause.

Could you be pregnant even though your tubes are done and you took a test but it came up negative could you possibly have an ectopic pregnancy but it came up negative?

No. I doubt you are pregnant since your tubes were tied. Having them tied means that the ovum doesn't meet the sperm at all. So, it wouldn't be ectopic as well. Your test sounds correct. If you have a problem go see the doctor.

Why do old people moan in pain when it does no good?

So you know they're in pain as pain is a subjective experience. Perhaps this is the part where you console them?

I imagine they also do it to remind of what you can look forward to in the future.

Why does my jaw move in and out of place while eating and is this a serious problem?

When your jaw feels like it is moving out of place, clicking, or even locking up, it could be temporomandibular joint dysfunction, commonly called TMJ. It's actually pretty common, and it is treatable. It's caused by inflammation in the joint, and it affects the muscles involved in chewing, so that is often when it is noticed. You should mention it to your doctor. They can confirm if that is the problem and help out.

You did not indicate the gender of the person with the pain. A woman could have a cyst on her ovary. The pain could come from the intestines. Now that opens up a can of worms. You would not believe all the problems that could be. It could be simple constipation and needs a couple doses of Milk of Magnesia. Or it could be any other thing of twenty things. See your general practitioner doctor.

Can Straterra cause chest pains in children?

My son is 7 and he was on his forth day of the medicine. We were at his soccer game and he began complaining of chest pains. We called his Doctor and he said it was highly unlikely that the medicine would be causing this. He could not give us a reason for the pains though and the child has never complained of them before he started the medicine...

it is ABSOLUTELY the medicine! go to the Strattera.com website and look at the prescribing information

My 10 year old son has irregular heartbeat as well as a skipping pulse, his doctor told me it was not the medicine but it happens after he takes it in the mornings at school. The school nurse checks his vital signs and made me aware of this problem. He has been on Straterra for four months.

What causes twisted gut?

If you ar talking about colic it is caused by the horse not being cooled off after a workout or sometimes being moves to different places like a new barn. You could recognize this by the horse rolling a lot, looking likes its trying to itch its stomach, or not eating or drinking. This usually occurs when a horse with colic is permitted to lie down and roll on the ground, and is the reason a colicky horse should ALWAYS be kept walking until the vet arrives.

Can breast tenderness be confused with chest pain?

Because chest pain can be a sign of something more serious, you must figure out the difference. Easiest way: Chest pain lingers, it can be sharp, rolling, or constant ache among many things. If it's breast tenderness, it should hurt mainly from touch and exacerbate if pushed on or squeezed.

So yes, the two might be confused, but since pain from the tenderness of the breast can be stimulated, the two can be set apart.

Here are a few information pages form the Mayo Clinic:

Is it heart related?? : http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/chest-pain/DS00016/DSECTION=3

Mayo Clinic:

"

Pain in your chest can be severe. It can be difficult to interpret. The cause of the pain could be something as simple as heartburn or as serious as a heart attack. If you experience unexplained and persistent chest pain or a feeling of pressure or tightness in your chest - particularly if it's accompanied by other signs and symptoms, such as shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, dizziness or pain that radiates beyond your chest to one or both of your arms or your neck - seek emergency medical care immediately. A trip to the emergency room could save your life - or bring you peace of mind if nothing is seriously wrong with your health." ....it's better walking out of the emergency room kicking yourself over heartburn than to experience a true heart attack and not get help in time.

What causes umbilical pain?

Many inter-abdominal things cause umbilical pain, one of them being appendicitis. A doctor should be able to fully examine you and tell you exactly what's wrong.

Could a shadowy area below a tooth root on an xray be a large abcsess if you have no pain or swelling and should you let the dentist do a root canal with no anesthetic to see if you feel pain?

Root canals can and are done without anesthetic if a tooth is known to be dead. This can usually be determined *before* the root canal is started. To answer your question, if a tooth is dead and asymptomatic, you may be able to have the procedure without anesthetic but the main reason would be to avoid having a shot and hours of numbness, rather than to "see if you feel pain." I would see an endodontic specialist if possible.

It could be, but never let a dentist do a root canal without anesthetic, even if the nerve is removed there is still tissue there which feels pain. I know, I had it done by a dental student. She thought that because the nerve was removed (the week before) I wouldn't feel pain, and her supervisor thought she had given me a local anesthetic.

Do marines cry?

With what a marine experiences there are many reasons to cry. They will hold it together until the job is done and perhaps cry in their dreams. All the things we take for granted are protected by our armed service persons, and we further give them reason to cry by disrepecting all the things they fought for and gave their lives to protect. Marines protect the rights of those who choose to burn the flag, and those refuse to show respect by removing their hats and placing their hand over their heart to pledge the flag. They protect those that refuse to learn the Pledge of Allegiance. They protect those that don't choose to learn the language of the country Marines protect. They protect those who disrespect everything a Marine stands for without complaint. They protect the people who demonstrate against the USA. So... do they cry? Perhaps not on the outside, but they cry on the inside every time they are denied the appreciation they deserve. Maybe we should start protecting the Marines and becoming the country we were once proud of... I am sure they would shed tears of appreciation if we gave them that one reason to cry, and eliminated all the others.

How do you get a girl to give you a swirly?

make a bet with her, any kind, and the winner gets to give the other a swirly. You could also make it a certain place for the swirly if its not at home or an apartment. Then purposely lose, boom, she' gonna enjoy giving you a swirly, and you (probably) will secretly enjoy it.

When awake from sleep or sitting pain in heels upon walking?

I'm not a physician, but your very brief description is so like what I experienced that I think it's likely it's the same. I had (have) something called Plantar Fasciitis, and getting up in the morning was brutal. it affects my left heel mostly, and I sometimes had trouble walking first thing in the morning. After sitting in my easy chair for a while, it was almost the same thing. I took a cruise several months ago, and because I had never done it, I went for acupuncture; I ended up getting two treatments. I have to say that I didn't find the acupuncture particularly pleasant, but I have been virtually free of the problem ever since. The guy was great. He treated both feet, my spine, and even my ears. I feel only a vague, slight discomfort in the heel now and then. I figured out that favoring my left foot was part of the problem, so after the relief of the acupuncture, I deliberately stopped favoring it. I think that extending the foot straight out (like pointing with the toes) probably adds to the problem too; when I'm sitting I flex the foot to keep the tendons stretched. Really important: check with your doc before doing anything, because you want to rule out anything serious. Then, go for acupuncture if you're willing.

What is the best way to treat tooth pain because you need a root canal?

Oil of Cloves is one of the best substances for relieving nerve pain from the tooth root. You need the kind from a pharmacy though, not a supermarket.

In the end though, a root canal is going to be your best option. If you let it go, you could wind up with a lot more damage, pain, and eventual increased costs to fix it if it gets worse.
