Is knowledge of Morse code a good sing of high intelligence?

Not necessarily. But it does indicate 1) someone has has the "talent" to recognize sounds and associate it with letters or words 2) someone who was determined enough to learn Morse Code.

You would REALLY have to be interested in Morse Code to go through the time and effort to learn it well, and you do need to use it from time to time to keep from forgetting it. Using it will keep your skills up.

I am still working with learning Morse Code fully, and operate regularly on Ham Radio with it (2008). There are a lot of Ham Radio operators that very much enjoy the mode and find a lot of satisfaction just using Morse Code, I am one of them. Partly for the "magic" of it, mostly for the fact the "better operators" are the ones using Morse Code.

CW and Morse Code are not the same. Morse Code is the series of dots and dashes that make up the letters and numbers, etc... CW is the method by which Morse Code is sent! CW stands for Continuous Wave... When I press down on my CW key, my radio (Icom 718) will transmit a continuous wave of 700 hertz audio tone. When I let up, it stops transmitting. The sequence and timing of pressing down and letting up creates the dots and dashes, which are Morse Code!

In Ham Radio, CW is loosely used to mean Morse Code, and vice versa.

More information about sending and receiving Morse Code can be found via Google.

But the short to your answer is, no... Being able to send and receive Morse Code by ear does not indicate a high level of intelligence, but rather a high level of dedication!

Hope that helps,

Andrew

How do you laugh in Morse code?

Well that depends. If you wish to use the classic "ha" then it would be five dots and a dash ( * * * * * - ) If you wish to use the more modern "lol" then it would be dot dash dot dot dash dash dash dot dash dot dot ( * - * * - - - * - * * ) If you just wanted to kind of giggle with a "te he" then it would be dash dot dot dot dot dot ( - * * * * ) Or if you just want to spell the word laugh then it would be dot dash dot dot dot dash dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot dot dot ( * - * * * - * * - - - * * * * * )

Does ATT own Comcast?

Dumb answer. Like saying, I have stock in Congara and I have stock in Beatrice, so no, Congara does not own Beatrice (?!?) Did you do any research at all, or did you just leap right to a logical fallacy and confidently post it for all the world to see that you have no reasoning skills (nor research skills, either, obviously). Or is it just that "Answers" is a typical internet sham that people sadly assume has actual 'answers' to anything? Books, my friend. That's my diagnosis for what ails you.

Att uverse coupons - are there any specific uverse coupons or coupon codes that anyone knows about that will save on uverse tv bundle packages?

HI

There are no specific uverse coupon codes, I know since I got the service last month and searched everywhere for codes. However, sites like RicksCouponPicks.com have att uverse promotions on a monthly basis with direct uverse cash back promotions from ATT. You can get cash back promotions on various amounts depending on the month on uverse products but no coupon codes at this time. Hope it helps.

What is LNB related to telecom?

Low noise block-downconverter.

A low noise block-downconverter (or LNB) is the receiving device of a parabolic satellite dish antenna of the type commonly used for satellite TV reception. The device is sometimes called an LNA (for low noise amplifier), LNC (for low noise converter) or even LND (for low noise downconverter) but as block-downconversion is the principal function of the device, LNB is the preferred term, although this acronym is often incorrectly expanded to the incomplete descriptions, low noise block or low noise block converter.

What are the advantages of using parallel cable and connections compared to using coaxial cable?

A parallel cable carries multiple signals while a co-axial cable typically carries a single signal, but that signal can be modulated to carry more than one channel of information.

A parallel cable typically carried 8, 16 or even 32 data lines as well as clock and control lines.

In the early days of computing parallel interfaces could transfer whole bytes or words simultaneously, so they were frequently faster than the equivalent serial interfaces which were available at that time. Early PCs, data storage devices and digital television equipment made use of high speed parallel connections to offer fast data rates whilst requiring a lot less processing power compared to serial connections.

In recent years, local and wide area networking - using wireless links and telephone based connections - have seen major developments in serial interfacing technology to increase overall data throughput, so that today's serial cables and interfaces are much faster than most parallel cable solutions. Furthermore parallel solutions are not compatible with the serial format of wireless and wired Ethernet, so offer little benefit compared to using either co-ax or twisted pair serial cables.
