it sounds to me like the switch is bad i had a Mercedes with the same problem it would go down but not back up and i finally replaced the window switch and now it works fine

A common problem on Acura Legends (and other Acuras and Hondas in general) especially in hot weather is the fuel injection ("main") relay. In many cases, this relay is usually the cause of hard starting problems rather than the fuel pump. The fuel pump is misdiagnosed because many people are unaware of the fuel injection (also known as the "main") relay. The main relay is located under the dash, on the driver's side.

N2O (nitrous-oxide) will give you the most " bang for the buck" (most cost effective). For maximum increase in horsepower a fully built tubocharged, inter-cooled, nitrous-injected engine would be in order. If your looking for one component to get the most out of what you already have, and adding the "spray" isn't in the picture, most start with a cat-back exhaust system.

I`m Not Sure How To Put This. Let Us Look At Safety First. You Can Remove Them Yourself If You Have A Very Good Set Of Jack Stands To Put The Front Of The Car On. Remove Them Then Take Them To A Shop Or Parts House That Can Press The Springs Down To Remove And Install The Struts. Then You Put Them Back On. I Would See If I Could Furnish The Struts And Have A Good Shop Install These For Me. You Probably Will Find It The Best Way To Do This. But As Stated You Can Do Some Of It Your Self. Good Luck

The fuel pump relay is the same thing as the "Main relay" located on the left side of the steering wheel underneath the panel. Take the panel off and the relay is a black box.

ir you mean the overdrive light there is a problem with the transmission It's the speed control. It's a part that looks like a small transmission connected to the power steering. it's the electrical parts that are bad. Hello, First your letter D is flashing because its your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) that is bad, you have to replace it. All early 90's Legends go thru that the VSS tends to fail its just a defect they have you will also notice rpm idle changes then your mph or rpm needle will stop or jump up and down then your odometer will stop too! and when your check engine lights on that means its really serious now you better get that fixed before your tranny goes out busted too! their about $150 bucks at the auto parts if you know a little mechanic you can do it yourself its not that hard its right next to the oil filter.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the glove box.

2. Remove the frame to the glove box and the side frame.
3. Remove the bolts and the retractor control unit with the bracket.
4. Remove the center console box and the bracket.
5. Unbolt the dashboard lower center bracket and insert a small prybar to pry a 12-15mm clearance, to ease in the removal of the evaporator.
6. Loosen the right side sealing band.
7. Disconnect the wire connections from the blower.
8. Remove the blower bolts and the blower assembly.

There is no such thing as a 1998 Acura Legend. They were last produced in 1995. After 1995 Acura began making RLs instead of Legends. Perhaps you mean 1998 RL?

A single click usually means a bad starter (unless the engine is stuck and can't turn over.) Rapid clicking almost a buzz would indicate dead or discharged battery or poor electrical connection from battery to starter.

To be a little more sure, use a voltmeter to measure voltage while trying to crank. Below 9.5V indicates not enough electrical power available - battery issue. Higher voltage then 10.6V indicates plenty of juice, but the starter isn't working.

on the driver door take the door panel off. and behind it there is a little black bow with cords running to it that is what you need to change the black box. then your windows will work again.
