Most likely it is the traction control system. When the light is constantly on, the system has been turned off. When it flashes, it means the car is losing traction (i.e. the tires are spinning). I believe the system is controlled by a button to the left of the steering wheel (for a 2002 at least).

You can't as this is a safety feature from Acura. The only way for them not to show is to remove the bulbs

there are some good tips on how to replace OTHER models or years of IAC valves that you can find by googling. However, I tried to take my IAC valve off my 1999 Acura TL and couldn't even get the first bolt out. It's in such an awkward place, you need a philips-head sd and have to come from below, but there's no room to do it. I tried unscrewing it, but couldn't put enough muscle into it and ended up stripping the screw. So then I tried using a simple pliers on it (it's got a round head--no hex-head wrench will do), but that didn't work either. Must have been overtightened when first built. I tried WD-40, but that didn't help either. I will next try either a vicegrips on the screw/bolt. Also, it is probably necessary to remove the entire throttle body assembly first, and then just remove the IAC valve from the TB assembly. I don't think it's possible otherwise, but I'm learning the hard way!

Probably but you should use the grade recommended in the owners manual. All of the sensors and the computer are calibrated to the recommended fuel.
