Embedded within the narrative of Homer is a complex arrangement of other meanings in alternative syntax.

Thus the narrative can be read in the literal sense. It can also be used, if you understand the key words to pair the key words and decode additional hidden meanings that generally speaking enhance the perspective of the narrative.

Thus Homer was not only a literate tool, but also a mathematical cognative excerise.

In general, western medieval philosophy was heavily dependent upon ancient Greek philosophy. The doctrines of the ancient Greek philosophers from the pre-Socratics through Plotinus were extremely influential in setting the agenda for medieval philosophy. The first great Christian thinker was Augustine, whose own original thinking was heavily influenced by, on the one hand, Plato and Plotinus, and, on the other, by Paul's Christian writings. Augustine tried to use the categories of Greek philosophy to render Christian doctrine intelligible. By the time of Aquinas, many of the works of Aristotle, which had been preserved by Islamic scholars, had been recovered (whereas not many of Plato's dialogues were available). Aquinas was so heavily influenced by Aristotle that he simply refers to him as "the philosopher" in his writings. Like Augustine, Aquinas tried to make sense of Christian writings, but he also used Aristotelean categories to try to make Christian thinking consistent with what else was understood about the world. In so doing, he developed the greatest medieval synthesis. Aquinas remains the official philosopher of the Roman Catholic Church. In other words, Greek philosophy in general, and Aristotle's writings in particular, had a powerful effect on Aquinas's thinking.

in the summer it gets hot. the temperatures are usually between 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit( there they use celcius) and can sometimes get up to 100. the nights are cool usually in th 70s. In the winter autum and spring, ir depends what part you live in. if you live in nirthern Greece in areas such as thessaloniki or Kavala, the autums and falls and springs are like New York Chicago, ect. If you live further south like in Athens the fall and autum are 60s and 70s. winter is usuaully 50s and 60s. they rarley get snow down in Athens

Mainland Greece was mainly poor agricultural land amongst mountains. The river valley civilisations had annually refreshed well-watered alluvial river plains.

well we are human and we both have people that do different specialties. They have people who are warriors. They have people who are leaders or rulers. Both have bureaucrats. Both have laws to control the people and collect taxes to pay bills.

However there is some doubt about the accuracy of biographical data for Hippocrates as the main source of biographical information was written at least six hundred years after his death.

I suppose you mean the famous one in Olympia by Phidias.There is one tradition that it was carried off to Constantinople, where it was destroyed in the great fire of the Lauseion, in 475 AD. Others argue that it perished with the temple when it burned in 425 AD.

Pandora's box You may be thinking of Pandora's box (also referred to as a jar), which, in Greek mythology, contains all the ills and evils that were unleashed into the world when Pandora opened it out of curiosity. The etymology of Pandora's name provided in Works and Days is an incorrect folk etymology. Pandora properly means "all-giving" rather than "all-gifted." An alternate name for Pandora attested on a white-ground kylix (ca. 460 BC) is Anesidora, which similarly means "she who sends up gifts." The vase painting clearly depicts Hephastus and Athena putting the finishing touches on the first woman, as in the Theogony. Written above this figure (a convention in Greek vase painting) is the name Anesidora. More commonly, however, the epithet anesidora is applied to Gaea or Demeter. Agamemnon took for himself a girl named Chryseis, the daughter of a priest of Apollo. Because he refused to return the girl to her father, the god released a plague on the camp of the Greeks.

A visionary called Karchas advised him to return the girl, which was supported by Achilles. Agamemnon returned the girl, but then claimed Briseis instead, who was the girl chosen by Achilles. He did this to punish Achilles for his support to Karchas.

Achilles then left the battle and did not return until his friend Patroclus was killed. This apparently meant he viewed Agamemnon with enough respect him that he would ask him to do something for the greater good and have a certain faith that it would be done; but also saw the taking of his own girl as a insult against him and was hurt by it.

Agamemnon respected Achilles enough that at his death, he thought his armour worthy of Odysseus rather then Ajax.
