yes you can only talk to people that are on your buddy list! you can talk to people who you don't know in chat rooms i would think children should be at least sixteen to have a aim account you never know sometimes who your chatting with or someone might try to find you.
I am thinking people on their buddy lists can be rude sometimes, and you can loose a friend thru it. Be very cautious.

As long as you have unlimited texting you're fine. If you do not have unlimited texting, then you will have to pay the charges your phone charges for texting.

There was a way to re-enable plugins via an Easter egg for a short time, but last I checked it is now disabled. At peak AIM Music Link had 10M unique users per month.

Why doesn't AOL REPLY and FORWARD retain the previous email thread?
Because they are deliberately trying to reduce the load on their servers, both AOL and other web based email systems consistently choose not to follow common standards and practices of the rest of the internet world. They do not include the prior message when replying. And, they do not provide a way for the user to change that default.
How AOL Users Can Include Prior Email

To include the prior email in an AOL email reply:
1. "Select" all of the email you are replying to, either with your mouse or by placing the cursor in that email and typing Ctrl-A;
2. Then, after selecting all of this email, click to reply.
If you do it in this sequence, AOL will include the prior email in your reply.

If you use your AOL e-mail as your AIM also, then yes, it will be deleted. You can make a separate AIM account by going to AIM.com

My AOL welcome screen is too small how can I enlarge it?
You have to open up Internet Explorer and select View from the menu bar, then Text size and select Medium (or larger if desired). This will affect AOL's font size including the Welcome Screen. For some reason, every now and then it reverts back to smallest font size.

First go to another email site and get an email there. Then on that email go on settings and "transfer mail from another email" or something like that should be there. If it is not there, go into help and "transfer mail" on that. This should work for most email sites. If you want to keep the same network go into setting or help and that should be there too.
