Whew, took me a while but I figured it out. It's a clearance item, Gillette Fusion Proglide razor that was marked to $2.50. and that could sort of go with the fuspgg..., but maybe the number is generically used for clearance items. Just a thought.

Barcodes follow their own standards, google "bar code types" or look at the wikipedia entry. Countries tend to not have set standards, different organizations, depending on how large and diverse their inventory is, use different barcode types.

Symbol barcode scanners are very necessary if you have a large inventory to keep track of. However, some come equipped with fancy functions that some people will never get to use. I think we have to be careful with any of this technology but so much is uncertain and not researched that we never seem to get an accurate answer. If this is something you use all day in your job then you have every right to question it and see if they have any proven medical research that shows it is safe. If not then I would think they should be able to provide you with some kind of apron to wear to protect you from the rays.
