Do blind people care if they date ugly people?
I am not a blind person although I do have some blind friends, so I have some insight into the psychology of the blind. Blind people, much like sighted people, are not all the same, and do not all have the same criteria for dating. Some blind people would be quite happy to date someone who is ugly but friendly and who has shared interests (for example, science fiction fans often like to date or marry other science fiction fans). But appearance can still matter. A blind person may wish to have children, and if so, he or she would normally prefer that his or her children will be good looking. So the appearance of a spouse, which will be part of the genetic inheritance of the children, will still matter, even if the blind person never actually sees that appearance.
How would a blind person know what is ugly, and what isn't? I don't think they would care too much since they can't tell who is attractive, and who isn't.
Absolutely!
Of course, the blind babysitter would need to be very familiar with his/her environment -- so in his/her own home would probably work out the best. And of course (as with any babysitter) he/she should be responsible and old enough to handle everything that could come up, and should have a phone. The child being watched should be old enough to understand that the caregiver cannot see. I have a legally blind student who babysits frequently, and she always does an excellent job!

Glaucoma leads to blindness primarily due to increased intraocular pressure (IOP) resulting from fluid accumulation in the anterior chamber, which can damage the optic nerve. This damage disrupts the transmission of visual information from the eye to the brain. Over time, the pressure can cause irreversible loss of retinal ganglion cells, leading to vision loss and, if untreated, complete blindness. The condition often progresses without noticeable symptoms until significant damage has occurred, making regular eye examinations crucial for early detection.
Was St. Paul cured of his blindness?
Yes, St. Paul, originally known as Saul of Tarsus, was cured of his blindness. According to the New Testament in the Book of Acts, after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, he was blinded for three days. Ananias, a disciple, was instructed by God to visit Saul, lay hands on him, and restore his sight, which he did, resulting in Saul's healing and subsequent conversion to Christianity.
Monochrome blindness, also known as total color blindness or achromatopsia, is a rare visual impairment where individuals perceive the world in shades of gray, lacking the ability to see colors. This condition arises from a malfunction or absence of cone cells in the retina that are responsible for color vision. People with monochrome blindness may also experience reduced visual acuity and sensitivity to light. Unlike typical color blindness, which affects color discrimination, monochrome blindness results in a complete absence of color perception.
