How can you recall the experiences you had 53 years ago?
Look up old friends or classmates from that time. Males of course are easier to find in the phone book because their last names never change after marriage. They may remember something around that date that may give you enough clues to remember what happened on that day. You may hit it lucky. Also try going to the school you once use too and see where they keep the old year books and go through them. The school library usually keeps each year book and if the school isn't there any longer then ask your local Heritage Society. I've gone for years without bumping in to any of my classmates and when I was just about to turn 50 I got a phone call from a very old school chum (a woman) and we'd all hung out in a group (8 of us) and we'd lost touch. Bless her heart, she rigged up a night out at a restaurant so we could all celebrate our fiftieth birthdays and we had a blast. We talked over old times and laughed ourselves sick. Then 3 years ago my husband and I were looking for a new sofa and loveseat and we went to a furniture store and this man about my age was the salesman. I kept looking at him trying to place that face and it finally dawned on me he was a classmate of mine throughout Elementary School many moons ago. We were so excited to see each other and catch up on news. I did have him over for dinner (he's single) and we had a great old time and we still continue to keep in touch. If you could explain further about why June 24th, 1954 is so important we may be able to give you other avenues to go down. Also go onto the Fifties websites. Go onto: www.google.com Type in: All about the 1950s. By going on many of these websites it's not only going down memory lane, but a lot of fun and something may just twig your memory. If you're having problems then please type under this post and let us know why this date is so important to you and we may have some other good ideas for you. Good luck
What would cause a 1988 Chevy Silverado 1500 to lose oil pressure?
The most likely answer is the oil pressure control switch (aka oil pressure sending unit). costs around 4 dollars and 5 minutes to replace. It's right behind the distributor cap.
Bad bearings , a whole in the block , or a bad sending unit . Which one sounds most likely ?
Why would the oil temperature go up when you press the gas pedal on a 1967 Mustang?
I believe this model comes equiped with an oil pressure gauge, not an oil temp. gauge. The oil pressure gauge should rise when you push on the gas. The temp. gauge should be the other gauge marked H----C. This is just the engine temp. which probably will go up when you hit the gas. The oil pressure gauge is marked H-----L (High-----Low). If it goes up too much after warming up you might want to check the oil level. For an overheating problem I'd check the thermostat, radiator, and fan. You might look into getting bigger fan blades on it. That's what I did anyway.
If what you are decribing is smoke coming from underhood that smells like burnt oil, it may be your valve cover gasket(s) leaking on the hot exhaust manifold. This smell is strong enough to come into the passenger compartment while you drive. It should be repaired. I hope this helps you. Mark
A plugged PVC system will because it increases pressure in the engine, over filling the oil, weak gaskets, manufacturer's poor design, under or over torqueing bolts, defective or improperly installed drain plug or filters, worn out drain plug gaskets, oil pan rot-typical of ford pans, poor designed crimps on oil cooler lines, I'm sure there's more.
