1993 roadmaster overheats and then cools down?

I would guess that the thermostat is not opening at the proper temperature. Once it does open proper circulation brings it down to the correct operating temperature. I think it should be replaced.

How do you disassemble the front driver side door on a 93 Buick Roadmaster?

The first step is to find a single Phillips screw hidden in the carpet on the lower rear side of the panel. It is approx 5 inches in and 4 inches up. Remove it. Next, peel each end of the grab handle inward to reveal a single large Phillips screw (1 per side). Remove the screws. Next remove the single screw behind the interior door handle and remove the door handle surround over the hadle itself. the rest of the fasteners are snap type. Start at the bottom using the special door fastner tool to release. You can just pull forcefully, but it usually breaks these fasteners. Once the door is only hanging from the top strip, remove all elecrical connections. Next roll down the window and pull upward on the panel to release it from the lower window strip. Installation is reverse of removal.

How do you rest a climate control unit on a 92 Buick Roadmaster?

is that 'rest' or 'reset'? If by 'rest' you mean to give the AC unit a rest, that's a good idea, all roadmasters from 92-96, when you start the car, if the ventilation was switched on last time, the AC comes on by default, even if you had the heat on to 75f say. This sucks the gas. When you start your roadmaster, either hit the 'econ' button quickly to turn the ac off, or press the 'off' button before you turn your engine off. The next time you start it, the ventilation will be off.

If you mean reset, well, I changed my battery, and the ventilation panel readout seemed to cycle though 32f to -20f or so a few times, then started. id say that reset it!!!!!

1994 biuck roadmaster starter does not turn over?

Your battery might be dead or very close to dead. If the interior lights come on but go dim when you try to start then the battery is probably dead. Otherwise, get a new starter.

Is there any special tools you need before removing fueltank to replace fuel pump 95 buick roadmaster wagon?

Yes, you need GM-style fuel quick disconnect tools. One size fits the outlet line, another size fits the return line. I got mine at Advance Auto parts. Do not get the combination tool with both sizes on the same tool. This will work on a GM truck, but not on a car. Don't know why, it just is.

Where on motor will find fuel filter on 95 buick road master?

You will not find it on the engine. It is mounted in the fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine. Look and you will find it.

What is a vintage big red wagon by road master worth?

The value of a vintage Big Red Wagon by Radio Flyer can vary significantly based on its condition, age, and any unique features. Generally, prices range from $50 to several hundred dollars, with well-preserved or rare models fetching higher amounts. 700 R4, the better way to tell is when the down shift cable is no longer present the transmission shifting is computer controlled 4L60E which is a more complex (computer controlled) version of the 700 R4. I looked at a 92 today and it had a 700 R4.

How do you replace shocks on a 1995 Buick Roadmaster estate wagon?

Wow

Tough job. I replaced all the shocks on my 95 Estate Wagon about 2 years ago. The front shocks were fairly easy. But the rear shocks were very difficult. I had help from a friend who is a professional mechanic, access to his tools and we had the car up on a lift. It took the two of us almost 3 hours to change the shocks. With four hands squeeezed in around the exhaust pipes and wrenches with flexible heads, we finally got the top shock mounts installed and tightened. I was never able to find out if there was a hatch under the back seat to get to those upper shock nounts. It would sure help. I hope to never do the rear shocks again!

Good luck

How do you get the ac to come on in a 1994 Buick Roadmaster?

The "auto" button above the vent button is the A/C. Turn your temperature to 60 degrees and right next to that button is the "auto" button. Hit it and the air should come on

Where is the coil pack located on a 5.7 GM engine?

If it's a Roadmaster it is usually easier to follow the centre wire running from the distributor cap. I have a 92 and its at the back next to the distributor. It has only one plug in connector however it is 2 connectors put together to look like one plug. They have to be put together first before you plug back into the coil once you have removed them.

How do you change the heater core in a 1995 Buick Roadmaster?

  1. Drain anti_freeze low pressure air through the heater core will help empty it)
  2. Disconnect Heater core hoses on the engine compartment side of the firewall.
  3. Remove cover panel under dash.
  4. Remove dash board brace (small support brace that runs from firewall to glove box shroud surround.)
  5. Remove lower air box section. ( Many small screws so be sure you get them all)
  6. Remove air conditioning evaporator (Some times this requires the disconnection of hoses in the engine compartment, But try to work around that first to avoid having to recharge your air conditioner.)
  7. Remove the heater core mounting straps and screws.
  8. Wiggle the heater core towards the glove box to extract the steel hoses from the firewall bushings/seals.
  9. Be careful not to spill any remaining anti-freeze on the carpet.
  10. If you had a leaky heater core be sure to clean the air box the best you can to keep the anti-freeze smell out of the car.
  11. Reverse this procedure to install the new heater core.

I hope that helps someone in some way. It's not complicated but it is a pain in the rump to be upside down for that long. You may need to take several breaks during this process to give your neck and back a break as well as your knuckles... It's not an easy repair but it is pretty straight forward.

If I left any thing out please feel free to add comments to these instructions. Generally these instructions should cover most years of Buick Roadmasters.

Just an additional note:

If you have to disconnect your air you may have to upgrade your entire system to the new R34 system instead of R12 because of the new environmental laws in some areas. Try to avoid this as best you can because R34 is not as effective in an older systems as it is in newer systems simply because the evaporator and condenser are smaller and they need to be large to transfer the heat in the R34. It's not nearly as effective at the transfer of heat as the environmentally unfriendly R12 was.
