remove the scres around the fuel filler neck and remove the bolts holding the bed on the frame. There are only like 6 or 10 depending on model year i think. Lift off with a friend and do it that way, its way easier :)

The 1998 Cadillac dashboard fuse is a 30 amp fuse. The fuse can be found in the fuse box. The location of the fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.

dont listen to this guy he doesnt have a clue.what you need to do is jack both sides of the care up.take tires off.put a jack under the rear diferential.take out the two bolts on each side of the diferential.they are towards the back end of it then look up and their they are.after all four of those bolts are out of the diferential take the bolts out of the bottom of both shocks.their is a arm that hangs down and is the same on both sides take the bottom bolt out of the arm on both side.then lower your jack under the rear differential and the springs will come right out.just put the new springs in you may have to take a pry bar ande just pry down a little to get them in,after they are in just put everything back together the way you took it apart.its very easy and should take you no longer then 2 hours to do.good luck...also you do not need a spring compressor at all.

Try taking the cap off coolant tank, and running enging till all the air bubbles come out, as it sounds like you have a air lock in your cloolant lines.

in my case it was my oil cooler, it had blowen a seal and was mixing my oil and coolant, the oil cooler is located in the valley of the engine, and installed would cost almost $1100.

There is a dipstick under the hood of a Cadillac Catera that you can pull to check your transmission fluid. You should do this when the engine is hot.

in the coolant bottle is a level sensor. (just as in the fuel tank) if this level sensor is bad, you have to change the sensor. In most cases, the unit is installed in the bottle before it is sealed at the factory. So you must change the whole bottle to fix the problem!

You take the disconnected battery cables and touch them together for ten seconds thus makeing your computer reset. then hook them back onto the battery + to + and - to - . it will take about five miles of driveing to let the computer re assess itself then you should be good to go.! good luck

GM vehicles are not equipped with an inertia fuel shut-off switch.

Are you asking if the Catera HAS one, or are you asking WHERE it is? If you want to know whether or not it has one, simply look under the hood for the throttle cable. If there is no throttle cable coming from the firewall below the brake fluid reservoir to the front of the intake manifold, than it is an electrical throttle system; NOT a mechanical throttle (mechanical throttles have the throttle cable). If you already knew that but you're just wondering where the throttle actuator motor is, it is located on the side of the throttle body. It's going to be on the same side of the throttle with the MAF sensor located on the air intake. Hopefully this will help out, I actually just spent a week rebuilding the electrical throttle system on my 2005 Mustang GT. Despite the difference in vehicles compared to yours, all electric throttle systems are very similar. If you plan on working on your throttle system, THERE ARE A LOT, and I MEAN A LOT, of things you need to be sure you take into consideration BEFORE you disassemble any part of the throttle system. If you have any more questions, feel free to respond anytime. Oh Yeah - Failing to take into consideration the sensitivity and procedures needed to be taken while repairing/working on an electrical throttle system will result in AT LEAST 1 check engine light code, as well as not being able to drive your car whatsoever. Improper steps while servicing the system will more than likely result in virtually NO throttle response, well at least not enough to make your car move. Please be careful while doing anything with such a system until you know EXACTLY what you're doing. Not to act like a jerk of anything, but I just don't want you to suffer what I had to these last few days........GOOD LUCK!
