My 2002 Impala was doing the same thing. I took it in and they said it was code C1225. Traced to broken LF ABS Speed Sensor Harness. They replaced the harness and charged $231.88 at a dealership.

How would you replace a mass airflow sensor on a 2000 Cadilliac Caterra?
I was able to change the sensor myself it wasn't to bad. The check engine light had come on in my car and when I took it into the dealership they said it was the mass airflow sensor and it would cost me about $700.00 to replace. I ordered the part online for only $109.00 US plus shippping. After replacing the part it took about 4 starts later for the light to go out. So anyone with the similar problem should consider this alternative its not that hard to install.

If drainage is plugged under the grille adjacent to windshieldwipers, the water will drain into the floor of the front passenger seating area. Remove the grille and clear the plug. To avoid recurrence of this problem, clear leaves and other materials laying on the grille. Mike

Check your crank shaft sensor. Had the same problem, replaced crank shaft sensor and fixed the problem.

Not advisable. Any relay that you could unplug could have a multiple purpose and removing the relay could cause other more serious problems.

The dome light relay above the hood release lever. if your catera has a cover above the pedals you will have to remove it. then if you can look under there toward the hood release there is 3 regular relays under there. but, look above that and its a gray box that is on a sliding rail like deal it will slide up and pull out and undo the wires and you put the new one in good luck.
