This is not an easyone to diagnose without seeing it. It could be many things. Heres a few ideas. Coolant is going somewhere if it is full. After you replaced the radiator and thermostat you need to run it and then more coolant usually needs to be added. After you have done that and ruled that out the only other ways you can loose coolant are bad head or intake manifold gaskets,leaking waterpump,cracked block,leaking hose. Get a pressure tester hook it up to your coolant system apply 15-20 lbs pressure and see what happens. if the pressure drops you have a leake somewhere. if you cant find the leak . look at you oil to see if it is going there. If not there start your car and smell the exhaust to see if it has a sweet smell or if steam is coming out. If coolant is getting into the engine combustion area it will leave as steam. One last thing be sure the electric cooling fans near the radiator are coming on. If they are not working you will over heat also. I believe thes engines have a sensor that causes the engine to shut down if they overheat to save the motor from damage.

How do you replace the fuel pump strainer on a Cadillac DeVille?
you neglected to put the year, but I assume it's somewhat recent with an electric fuel pump un the fuel tank which is where the strainer filter is . Now the actual fuel filter is outside the fuel tank The fuel strainer cannot be replaced without replacing the fuel pump which is in the fuel tank. If you are lucky there may be an access plate in the bottom of your trunk. Remove the the access plate and you will be able to see the wires that connect to the fuel pump in the tank. Disconnect the battery first then disconnect the wires to the tank. In many cases the fuel pump is held in place by a half turn twist lock ring. Once that is loose (use only non spark producing tools)you simply lift it and the pump out. You will see the strainer on the bottom of the pump. You may be able to buy replacement strainers, but most if not all are worthless compared to the OEM strainer that comes with a replacement pump.
