What makes a car jerk and backfire?
Several things could be causing this problem. The timing could be off, or several sensors could be causing the problem. If possible check the computer codes. If not, then start with a possible clogged egr valve, then the crankshaft sensor.
That means person inside car is either too heavy or something like a toy is caught in engine

Check your front whell bearing or cv shafts. I have the same problem with my 2003 caravan.
Why would your car be idling low and rough?
I have left some lengthy explanations on WikiAnswers, but even I cant type out all the reasons this could be happening. There are simply too many to list. You could have a vacuum leak, a faulty IAC vlave, a computer control problem, a faulty MAF sensor, bad gas, clogged air filter, stuck open EGR valve, insides fallen out of the PCV valve, low fuel pressure, ignition misfire, sticking lock-up clutch in the automatic transmission torque converter, restricted exaust system, anything driven by the belt that is dragging severly, anything inside the engine that could be dragging, a timing belt or chain that has jumped, and the list goes on forever....
If a vacuum servo is fitted, then with the engine off, totally deplete the stored vacuum by repeatedly applying the service brake. Fully apply the brake and hold at a constant pressure. Note whether the pedal can be felt to travel further when the engine is started.

Why does a steering wheel on your car shake?
If it shakes just driving at around 50 mph then the tires need balancing. If it shakes when stopping you have a warped rotor. Edit: tire balance problems are most noticeable starting at around 35 mph. Balance problems can be undetectable by 50 mph. Can also be a bad tire which will be more noticeable usually at slower speeds. Steering wheel shake normally indicates a problem with the front end while a shake felt in your feet and/or the seat will be in the rear. Shake while braking will usually be a rotor problem, however can be a bent hub or spindle and even loose steering parts. Need to take to a qualified tech for further diagnosis.
Sharp objects puncturing the tire would cause tire deflation. I would assume that it's also normal for non compromised tires to lose air over time because of expansion, contraction, scientific crap, whatever.
Why does your 2014 Buick regal turbo ac line shake?
the ac pipe in front of the 2014 buick regal turbo motor shakes
It is getting vibration from the compressor, probably amplified by not being tied down to anything.
Look for a cllip that holds the tube in place, that will help keep down the vibration.
Your car sputters and shakes and wont accelerate very good?
If the shaking is specific to acceleration and the shaking is very rythmic (not random) it is most likely a fault in the ignition system. Usually a tune up or ignition coil replacement will solve this problem.
Where do you find the spark plugs for a 2000 Eddie Bauer expidition?
Any auto parts store or Ford dealership. I would go to auto parts store its cheaper and they will also tell you the location of your spark plugs if that is what you ment.
I recently discovered the vibration in my 1996 Silverado was due to dirty transmission fluid and filter. Changed it and hasn't vibrated since. Never would have thought that would cause it but that's what it was. Hope this helps.
Why my Honda is shaking when idle?
Is the car running ok? If yes and its only the vibration that's an issue most likely cause is motor mount(s)
The Struts are the shock absorbers that include the spring. They are commonly referred to as McPherson Struts. Most cars now have Struts on the front and rear instead of the simple shock absorbers.
You probably have a warped rotor on one or both of your front wheels.
What problems can there be when your car shakes?
if the steering wheel shakes there can be a problem with alignment. shaking when braking would probably be a brake problem. constant shaking i'd expect you should check the muffler If the front end of your car shakes when just driving normally, your front end probably needs re-aligning. If it shakes when you apply the brakes only, your brake rotors are probably warped and need re-surfaceing. Impossible to answer question, please be more specific. It shakes when... I feel it shake in the steering wheel when... I'm driving along and... etc. It depends on WHEN it shakes. Low speed driving: damaged tire, U-Joint, ignition misfire, burned valve, low engine RPM. Highway driving: loose steering, faulty ball joints, tire balance, bent wheel, tire damage. Engine idle: burned valve, ignition misfire, motor mounts, low engine RPM, dirty injectors, EGR valve... All of the above plus quite a few other possibilities.
What causes Toyota Avalon steering wheel to shake when breaking from 70 MPH only?
Three things to check, Wheel balance, Alignment, or most likely the front rotors may be slightly warped.
Why does my car shake and hesitate?
You may have a timing problem , with fuel flow or a spark plug that is not firing ; you'll need a mechanic to run diagnostic tests to determine the problem(s) .
What causes car to shake above 40mph?
More than likely tire issues. As simple as tire balance if not possibly a tire going south on you. Tell me more. Does it do it just at 40 or at higher or lower speeds as well, and where do you feel it, steering wheel, seat....and can you do anything to make it more pronounced?
The front end of your 2000 ford Expedition shakes when you start to slow the vehicle down why?
Front brake rotors are warped
Why does 1999 escort steering wheel shake at low spped mostly starting out?
Low speed problems like that are usually either a bad tire, bent wheel or a problem with CV joints.
Why does the car shake after replacing the ball joint?
Have the vehicle checkout, a ball joint should not make the car shake ( There are other components that would of been removed to change the ball joint. There is obviously something lose or installed incorrectly. Check the torque of the wheel nuts as a lose wheel may be the culprit. There is a possibility of steering or suspension failure, DO NOT drive the vehicle until it is repaired.
